This team needs that signature road win to believe!

When he says a signature road win, I don't think he's talking about the Giants. We could win like you say, and it wouldn't matter. Even 40-0.

If you can't beat a good team on the road in regular season. Then you're probably not doing it in the playoffs.
Yeah, be it fair or not, this team will be judged upon its postseason performance. They could go 17-0 and some wouldn’t believe, and rightfully so. Not sure any regular season win would change that.

For now it looks a lot better on paper than it has in a while, so I’m rolling with that. If Lucy does her thing, which I’m sure she will, so be it.

In the Romo years they went into Seattle and pulled a major upset, same thing when they beat an undefeated saints team in their building. When was the last time this team had that signature win on the road against an elite team? It happened in Dak’s rookie yr, but cannot remember anything since.

Until they prove they can win on the road against elite competition, in my opinion they are pretenders not contenders. Certainly defense/special teams have to do their part, but offense cannot continue to come up short. I think it is laughable that they are saying greatest offense ever aspirations when they haven’t accomplished anything
What game are you thinking…. Houston, Seattle or the Rams? Houston after Baltimore scares me to death.

They are going to have to win 2 games in a row.. in the playoffs for me to believe in them. Dale floor is good enough for making the playoffs roughly every other year or so. So I believe that, but that's as far my belief goes until they prove it.

Road pack and road eagles are much more important than a road win against an AFC team. Agreed on Rams and Hawks

I can't speak for the OP, just give my opinion on what a signature road win is, and why it's important. Remember those games where we traveled to Bufalo and San Francisco and lost 59-3? I'm exaggerating, but we got our butts kicked. Didn't look like we belonged on the same field.

It didn't matter that we went 12-5, those games told most of us that we were paper tigers. What do you expect to do in the playoffs?

A signature road win doesn't mean you're going to the SB, but it raises the odds. It means you can compete with anyone. That's why we need one.

Houston has the best defense in the NFL and the Cowboys offense crumbles when it goes against the Texans/49ers defensive scheme. The Eagles are a division team. We want to see a serious Cowboys team beat the Texans in Houston after the Ravens game in Brazil.

You want a signature road win? This is the year to do it

@ Philly
@ Houston
@ Rams
@ Seahawks
@ Indy

Win a couple of those and that will do it

Facts. Great points, hence me calling those “twelve win seasons” as hollow. They’d beat the crap out of Washington aand NY four times a year and call it a championship ready team. No.

Garrett would say this, "First we need to go out and beat the New York "Football" Giants!! It always annoyed me that he would say "football" giants. It's like Dude, you're in the NFL. What other giants could you possible be talking about? smdh
We'd have better odds against the New York Baseball Mets.

What this team needs is a WINNING STREAK! A streak that contains more than two games!!!!!!!!!!!! For whatever reason, this club can't get to a streak greater than 4 or 5. Some teams that are racking up double digit streaks that the Pirates only dream about!

Starting out of the gate fast and racking up wins important

I always looked at the 2016 road game against Pittsburgh as a signature win.

It"s a long time ago now though!

Agree with most..

The Cowboys have a tough schedule this season.

We’ll know a heck of a lot more after the NFC West matchups.

Just stack wins on top of wins.
I get that, but we recently had 3 consecutive 12-4 seasons and it basically resulted in nothing. Those consecutive wins need to come in the playoffs and we haven't had that happen in 30 years.

As far as the 'Signature' road wins I get it. If Dallas went into the best teams houses and really dominated.and came out with W's I can see where that would build fan base confidence. But as far as I'm concerned I'm not drinking any Cowboy Kool Aid until I see those playoff wins strung together.
