This team needs to start taking it personal regarding Romo getting battered

This is our QB. I am not saying we try to injure another teams QB. But our QB got knocked out last year by a division rival. And he is on the edge of getting knocked out 2 games into the season. Football is a contact sport...I get that. But does this team have the personaility to say "you are not going to keep beating our QB up"? Have we knocked anyone out of a football game since #31 was the SS for this team? Just think someone needs to let the other team know that we can bring it to! They have this rule about falling and putting all your weight on top of the QB. When I look at the hit Boley put on Romo last year...that is what it looked like to me....and there was no flag. I see the Pats and Steelers do it all the time with no flag. Other teams need to know we can play nasty too. That's all!

We did, we sacked Smith 5 times. Dallas spent the last few years being stupid we don't need to pick up late hit or illegal hits on the QB to prove some point

Any idea of how many times he was hit or hurried? We all know Romo does a pretty good job at avoiding sacks with his legs.

He's not talking about just sacks, Romo took quite a few big hits even if he got the throw off to avoid the sack.

I actually remember in the Giants playoff game, they made a point of beating Romo up. I still remember Osi standing up after laying Romo out on another non-sack with this smile on his face, they knew what they were doing. Hell, after Romo broke his ribs there were several times when he was dragged to the ground after getting the pass off.

You absolutely want to play a clean game, but man I feel bad seeing Romo take so many hits. He took several against the Jets as well.

So you go out and win the game. Playing the pay back game more times than not will end up costing you. I want our guys aggressive and making plays but we can't afford to be a stupid team as we have in the past

Better yet, let's give Romo an offensive line that can protect him.

So you're suggesting we pay them back by body slamming their QB's because they do it to Romo? Tsk Tsk.
 
For crying out loud, it's football!

The only way to protect these players any more than they already are is to only play Madden. I think jacks are more people's speed, although a jab under the fingernail might paralyze some people. That's like an ACL in football. Out for the year.
 
I'm with you Count. I want the Oline and the Dline with a nasty streak about six miles wide. That the one and only thing I will miss about Columbo (at least last years version of him). I think they SHOULD take it very personal. Erik Williams would have, and I think that is exactly the attitude that is necessary. Same with the rest of the team but I really think the basic attitude has to start in the trenches.
 
Your OL is still developing. It will happen, and then your pass protection and running game will get on the same page.

Side note: MW, That was not the post that was made (EDIT) from you...really? Or...explain it better.
