The Chris Thompson injury is big for the Skins. Giants are starting Geno. Cowboys will do what they've always done for nearly a decade - respond to severe media criticism. Anybody who has followed the team closely during the Garrett era knows this is when the team responds.

Get ready Boys, the hype will be back soon. Beat Oakland, get Zeke back for the final two...hmmm.

I hope so, but I see us losing to the Commanders if we stick to that pathetic conservative game plan again. The first game we won towards the end with all the injuries they sustained. This time, it looks as if Dak's confidence is shot and the Commanders aren't scared to go down field.

This is what I thought (think?) will happen, too. I saw the PHI and LAC beatings coming. Though I thought having Tryon back in the lineup would really help the passing game get back on track.

If we beat the Skins, we'll probably beat that bad Giants team, too. If those two things happen, we'll beat OAK, get Elliott back, and fans will get excited for that SEA road game. Win that, and we're looking at a week 17 game to possibly qualify for the playoffs and/or take HFA from the Eagles. It would be amazing.

At this point, though, I"m not sure we can cover those crossing routes well enough to beat the Skins with the LBs and DBs we've been trotting out. That Thanksgiving game was alarming how open people were. Lose that one, and the miracle comeback scenario won't matter.

Dallas has gotten blown out 4 times this year. Those teams almost never go on run. If they were competitive each week than I might buy it.

Is the Thompson injury big? Perine has over a 100 yards in both games since he got hurt.

Dak will have to run for his life Thursday. We will run OK but be a shadow of production with Zeke. I doubt Dak will turn it over like he has of late, but does anyone here think we can score more than we have of late?. I will be shocked to see us put up even 21.

Cousins will see some pressure from our guys but they will still sore more than 21.

For us to win, something will need to happen from out of left field.

Cousins trips and fumbles 4 times at his 5 yard line,he gets a blister and cannot throw, their D forgets to catch the plane and we play 11 on 0.
You get my point.

Perine is a running back.

Thompson is a pass catcher. They essentially play two different positions.

As for the OP...it’s possible but not with how we are playing now.

Seattle is at home.

I'd love the Boys to be at 7-6 after the Oakland game, but have a hard time seeing how that happens. Right now, I expect a bigger blowout this Thursday than last Thursday. But who knows, crazy things happen.

If they are 7-6, then I believe come week 17, they will control their own destiny (with a very small chance of already having a spot clinched). I was playing around with the playoff generator earlier, and just picking the other games how I expected them to go. Atlanta is going to have a tough time.

I need to see the team show signs of a pulse before believing. I agree with you that things can change quickly, just a month ago we were sitting at 5-3 and demolished Kansas City. They can turn it around and make a run but Thursday is a must win.

And we didn't exactly dominate them earlier when they had a MASH unit Oline and we had Zeke.

We might be 6-7 headed to Oakland.....might be. And my hair might grow back.

The Cowboys have been outscored 92-22 in 3 weeks.

The Skins have managed a 2-2 record playing Minnesota, NO, Seattle, and NYG (ok, they suck) the last 4 weeks. The 2 losses were one score games, including leading NO by 15 with 3 minutes to play.

I just don't see it.

Eagles have 3 road games against some pretty tough teams............

I fear it could be over by the end of the third quarter. Dak must protect the ball.

More than likely what would happen is we win on Thursday, people get their hopes up, and then lose in NY the following week. That seems more Garrett-esque/Cowboys-esque than some massive response to media criticism that leads to a spirited end of the season playoff run.

I have serious doubts the Cowboys winning or even being competitive Thursday night, never mind the Oakland game

All I can say is those Giants better watch out!! We are loaded. Ralph Neely and Pat Donovan are playing the OT positions. Lane Alworth is getting open. And Leroy Jordan is here too. Not to mention Mel Renfro and Bob Lilly.
