This was my first game @ At&t.. exciting game sux it was a tie !!
One thing I cant get over is the crowd noise!! We have to be the weakest home crown in the NFl, if not def one of.
I would say it was a 60/40 cowboys / packers fan split, and the 40 were louder!

Watching Dak trying to pump up the crowd on the sidelines was sad...
I despise the Patriots but go 2-3 times a year.. I do a Giants or Jets game once a year.. and been to 11 other stadiums. Our Home field is horrible!!!

Where were you sitting at?
Crowd noise in the stadium is subjective to where your seats are.

and how many GB fans were in your area?

I was in section 318. Corner of enzone.. More GB fans than I would of imagined ...60/40 split is honest.

I know right where that is. I had season tickets in 313. So yeah, many opponents fans try to get seats in that corner and end zone area from what I remember.
I know other fans that sat in that area. The sound there is different than in the middle area where I sat at. And the noise is louder in the lower sections.

It is the way the stadium is designed. The sound flows down to the field. So the upper 400 sections sounds less noisy.
As I know fans that sat up there, and said it is far different than the lower section.
Also if there are a lot of opponents fans sitting near you, they will sound louder. As I done that before as well.

The stadium gets a poor rep for not being loud enough.
However it does not help when the opponents fans are at 40%. That happens a lot, but also happens around the NFL.

Ive been to a few games where the stadium is rocking and could barely hear myself think. Ive been behind their bench. I been up by the scoreboard. It just depends on the opponent and where you are in thr stadium.

Packer fans always travel well.

So it being the Packers makes sense if the crowd was muted by their fans.

I saw that...Dak's (and many others) desperate attempt to get some noise...was sad.

I’m always mystified by how many Packers fans show up to our stadium. They aren’t nearby. Do they just travel well? I’ve only met a couple of actual Packers fans living here, and they were transplants.

Funny listening to these responses. I go to games all over and been going to at&t since it opened. The giants game crowd was so quiet at times you could hear the silence. Last night, same thing. Our crowd is more concerned with seeing themselves on the jumbotron. The original poster was spot on. And no, visiting fans don't try to sit in any one section, they sit everywhere. The exact as happens in all the other stadiums. That said, the game was insane, just like the giants game was for the same reason, this defense is bad.

Jerry’s decision to make our home stadium seat 100k was a money decision, not a home team advantage choice. The current average capacity for an NFL stadium is approximately 70-75k.

By building a bigger stadium, the visiting crowd can always find seats. And in seasons like this year when the Cowboys aren’t expected to make the playoffs, the home fans who have season tickets often sell their tickets to fans of visiting teams.

I’ve been to AT&T multiple times for Cowboys, college and HS games. It’s a great venue for a neutral site. Like a HS or college playoff game. For the Cowboys as a home field, it’s more like a shopping mall turned into a football venue.

There are actually quite a few fans from many teams in the DFW area. Mostly transplants.
There was a time, and maybe still is. There were like 1,000 people a day moving into the area.
But I never seen how many move away, or die to offset that number. But a lot less most likely.

I know of 5 Steelers fans, 2 GB fans, 2 SF fan, 2 Minnesota fans, 3 Beas fans, 2 Eagles fans, 3 Patriots fans, 3 KC fans. And a few fans of other teams. I may be forgetting a few other.
Put them all together they almost equal the Cowboys fans that come into the bar I used t own.

Say about 25 fans of other teams, and maybe 40 Cowboys fans, possibly more. That are regulars to semi regulars.
Now 10 to 15 years ago it may have been 10 fans of other team to still 40 Cowboys.
That is also counting 5 or so Cowboys fair weather fans.

I've been to AT and T five times you're right the people around here think that there's a whole bunch of non cowboy fans there that come there like they're watching a feature film at the local AMC Theater and it's not true they do not sit on their hands especially those of us in the 3rd and 4th rows the Nosebleed sections that by the way you can see the field very well They're raucous they are real cowboy fans that are actually yell and scream and there's no they stand up the whole game and they are definitely real cowboy fans that go to cowboy games..

That doesn't mean like any other stadium that you're going to have opposing fans there or some fans that just aren't that into football but they got tickets somehow they were given in to them by their boss but it is very loud in there and it gets very very fan friendly in no way shape or form is this a bad stadium for the home team.

Like I said I've been there 5 times wins or losses no matter what the game situation happens to be the fans are into it most of the fans make it very very loud when it's necessary short there's like small gaps where people are eating drinking going to the bathroom or they just set down and what not but most of the time when I've been there it it it definitely looks like a home crowd it definitely is like a home field advantage it is loud enough and if you ask the players they'll agree..

Wasn't there a time that we won like 17 games in a row there up until recently I mean we were running really well over there and people still think that somehow people go there like it's just a regular social event like going to the movies, it's not.

Yeah but see you're correct but it works the other way around too there are so many cowboy fans all over especially the West all the way into California But the Cowboys also travel well doesn't necessarily mean we travel from Texas to the Games you're right there are transplants everywhere The Cowboys have an equal amount of fans that go to other people's games and we had to go to our games it is an absolute myth and it's false narrative that we don't have a home field advantage and that we have soft fans and most of the people that go to AT&T are just there 'cause they got free tickets and not into the Cowboys i've been there five times since AT and T opened and every time it has been what you would expect from your home crowd...

I don't know why people think that they think it's like soft camp cupcake they think that it's somehow all the tickets were given away and none of them are **** Cowboys fans and that would be very wrong they're still tailgating there it gets very loud and yes sometimes if your teams down three scorers it might get a little quiet in there and then you can hear the other people's fans but that's expected but for the most part it's just like any other stadium the Cowboys fans are there to make it a home field advantage and every time it's been really loud and everything you met my expectations..

People do realize that other stadiums have the Cowboys fans in it as well and a lot of them...

You were able to see one of the most exciting games of the year and not a loss. In fact the Cowboys have already been involved in 2 of the most exciting games this season.

Spend your money however you like....its yours , so im not gonna hammer you with the " just giving Jerry money" thought process

Actually it's not i've been there 5 times recently and it's nothing like that just because it allows a few more fans from the other teams in there it is not what you're describing at all I'm a huge Cowboy fan you could tell how passionate I am I don't take nonsense from people in here well imagine what I am when I'm wearing my colors over there at the stadium and those other fans our fans make that home field advantage didn't we win like 17 games in a row at home up to some point that recently that got broken last year?

Can't have it both ways it is a home field advantage if your team wins that many games at home I can't remember what the record was but we won a lot of games at home it might have been Mike Mccarthy's stretch over three years would we win 17 in a row but I've been there this not a soft crowd it is not crowd sitting on their hands like they're watching a movie or going to the mall absolutely not true yeah if you're probably down three scores it gets kind of quiet But most of those fans are Cowboys fans even though you can sprinkle in 10,000 or so of the other fans and maybe you have a 5000 fans that got free tickets and they're not that much into football but because 80% of them are Cowboys fans it is very loud it gets very raucous It is not what you guys are trying to describe i've been there 5 times and all 5 times you can tell you're at a Cowboys game with a bunch of Cowboys fans...

Their tailgating may not be mythical and like some of the other tailgating around the country but it's got raucous tailgating right around the stadium trust me I've been there I live in Arlington I live seven miles from the stadium and it's nothing like you're describing you're not talking from experience I don't care how many games you're gonna tell me you've been to.. I've been to ten total since 2009 but I don't remember all of them but yes early on when it was first built then the Giants kept beating us there It took a while for the crowds to settle in but the last five times I've been there it's been raucous it's been cowboy heavy and it does not feel anything like you're describing and I have personal experience so I'm loud and obnoxious and there were so many people like me that are cowboy fans that were equally loud and obnoxious trust me when I'm flying my colors you're going to hear me all game I will not be sitting on my hands..

Neither were a majority of fans it is no different than any other stadium there are equal amount of Cowboys fans that travel well not just travel from Dallas but are transplants that go to other games Yes the stadium is bigger and it might attract a few more non Cowboy fans but we're not the only big new Dome stadium I'm pretty sure and I'm going to go check this that there is more on that hold more than 75,000 now..

But did you get to see the amazingly valuable art pieces?

Best art gallery west of the Mississippi I am told. LOL, and yes this place is not conducive for any home field advantage. PSA licenses are a joke and if you get suckered into one can’t blame you to try to recoup or even make money off it.

You should see that joke of a stadium in Philly. What a dump. There is nothing going on around it as well. No comparison between the two stadiums.
