From a pure development perspective next year is probably the best chance. Considering the past few drafts have been pretty good next year should be when your core is in its prime. After next year it is a question mark as to whether the new core will be as good as the upcoming one but the rookie class was overall solid but after next year you have to start paying money again. Diggs will command top dollar and you will have Lamb's 5th year option and then the year after that paying Lamb top dollar and suddenly you are now hoping that the latest drafts replace them.

Basically Dallas has 1 offseason to sign talent and go for it which is unfortunate that it is this offseason because it is one of the weakest FA classes in recent memory.

The eagles offense is better than the 49ers. They have the best wr duo in the league. An MVP caliber QB. And a tight end that could be considered one of the best in the next couple years.

They also have the deepest dline in football and the best pass rush. Oh, and a top 10 pick next year.

The Eagles have a bunch of free agents. I would take San Francisco roster over the Eagles. They are on their 3rd quarterback and still winning. The Eagles almost blew the number 1 seed when Hurts banged up his shoulder. The 49ers have not missed a beat.

We will never have a defense as good as the one that we fielded today

San Fran was averaging over 34 ppg with Purdy and we shut them down.

I have been saying since Thanksgiving the defense doesnt get off the field on 3rd down as well as it needs to. They didnt again today. The played their hearts out for two and a half quarters. The 49er O Line wore them down well enough to win the game after that. They need better DTs and another CB.

The Cowboys weren't going anywhere with Dak at quarterback.
The rest of the team is championship caliber, yes, but the weakest link was always going to hold them back.
Until the Cowboys get a quarterback to lead this team, the heartbreak will continue.

I agree. It seemed like things were lining up at one time. Brady and the Bucs fell apart and only got in the playoffs because their division was garbage. Rodgers and the Pack didn't even make it. Rams completely fell apart, Cardinals too. The Giants and Vikes were never as good as their records said. I really thought so when the Iggles got so beat up at the end and SF was playing their 3rd string QB, those were the two top teams.. This was as good a chance as any I can remember in the NFC in awhile. Oh well.
