So why not pay Dak if you love and trust him so much?

Why not try to fix the defense and put nolan in a better situation? We have nobodies in the secondary. So we just look this bad on D and not even a flinch? Even when Earl was available?

We did bad even with Dak, it was like we tried to lose on purpose. Not so.....

I believe once Dak started his ridiculous asking price, MM and Steph said to hell with this. Let's not fix or improve anything. Let's see if he can really carry this team as sorry as we are, if not we get a new QB and start fresh, if so we give him whatever he wants.

The Dak injury was a win for them. Like I said we were losing anyways, and they probably were like man this guy wants all this money??? When we give it up, and can't upgrade ****, then what? We just have a QB throwing for 300-400 yards a game and win nothing?

Nope

We will draft a QB, and fix everything or try to.

The obsession continues...

Why is there a narrative that the Cowboys haven’t tried [multiple times] to pay Dak?! Todd France is building a massive name for himself by doing what he’s been doing for almost 2 years with Dak. For those of you that are fans of this team allow me to make this very clear. THE COWBOYS WANT DAK AND HAVE TRIED HARD TO SIGN THE GUY!!!!!

Don’t fall for Todd France’s bull crap tactics that the media (especially African American members of the media) have clearly fallen for. Jerry Jones wants this guy is to be here, and wants to sign him - France is the one that is holding out for more money and less years (4) than the boys want him (5).

Here's the HUGE holes in your little dream. Back on July 15th in the final hour or so to sign any player on the tag Prescott himself was negotiating with Stephen and Jerry and agreed on the amount and length of the contract but ran out of time to get the guaranteed amount worked out. So that's the first hole that they made this big decision to just let Prescott prove he could make up for a possible bad defense.

Then without knowing Prescott would have a season ending injury and not fully realizing that their new DC was going to install a complicated convoluted defense that turned the defense that was just below the middle of the pack last year to the 30th and 31st ranked defense this year would give them a chance to get a top 5 pick so with all the DESPERATE needs on defense they would have to WASTE their 1st pick on a QB that has no guarantees that he would even be as good as Prescott let alone better wasting away the best years this WR corp has waiting for this new QB to get as good as Prescott.

You see before Prescott's injury and even since the defense was giving up historically high amount of points per game. With that an offense has to score on EVERY possession and no offense, even the greats offense EVER has done that so to say that Prescott didn't win games well it would have been easier if the defense at least made some stops other than when the other team crosses the goal line.

It's been reported that CAA fired France in large part for how he handled Prescott's negotiations. France did not answer calls from Stephen and when they did talk France would say he would get back to Stephen and then let weeks go by before calling back. France didn't actually negotiate but just repeated the same demands over and over and didn't budge on anything. CAA said their goal for their agents is to get as much as possible but getting nothing isn't helping them. France kept telling his boss that the Cowboys would cave and Prescott, France and CAA would be happy but it never happened. Prescott was the second player that France did like this with and CAA has said that maybe he would be better off working for himself. France did agree to join Athletes First sports agency. Also Prescott agent contract was with CAA with France as the agent assigned and there hasn't been any word on whether or not Prescott has asked to terminate that contract and go to France again but those that have been watching this seem to think Prescott has ended his ties with France.

it befuddles the mind this "disrespecting of Dak. Dak made demands the FO didnt want to meet and im dont know when it was a loss of face to a player to be offer 35M per year damn the market.

Prescott didn't make the demands, his agent Todd France did and because how he handled Prescott's negotiations or lack of negotiaiting France got fired by CAA who was his employer at the time.

The fact that Dak hasn’t ended his ties with Todd shows you just how loyal of a person he is, 99% of players would’ve fired the guy a long time ago - it’s clear and obvious he’s using Dak to ‘make a name for himself’.

How many of us really knew the name Todd France before this Dak Prescott “situation”? I know there are a few of you that know damn near everything, but seriously.

Yes Todd France screwed the pooch on the Dak contract. So because the Cowboys didnt meet the demands Dak was disrespected?

I have little hope this team goes after a 6-5 big arm accurate QB. If they are picking top 5 they would be stupid not to move up for the best QB to come out in a decade since Andrew Luck. But the way this organization is run I fully expect them to blow it.

H.E., looks like you might have to follow the team that Trevor Lawrence goes to just so you can be happy?
