this week more dominating than last week

I think even though last weeks victory was a shutout, the argument could be made that yesterdays win was even more dominating!
There was a train of thought amongst the talking heads that the Eagles would adjust...blitz more etc.
So what.
The Cowboys made Celek essentially a non factor this week. That vicious shot to the head by Hamlin may have been a factor, but factor in a missed tackle by Sensabaugh turning a 3 yard gain into 20 and Celek was invisible.
The Cowboys cleaned up the deep coverage. Last week Eagle receivers were open on several occasions and either dropped the pass or McFlab missed them.
This lead to the claim that the Eagles left a lot of opportunity on the field and wouldnt this week.
There was nothing deep available yesterday. Macklin got loose on occasion but aside from the Vick pass, nothing threatening
Oh yeah..enough about Sheldon Brown and the Pro bowl snub. That is gonna be one sore puppy this morning
Offensively and Defensively the Cowboys were even more physically dominant. I always envied the physicality of teams like the Ravens and Steelers. The Cowboys are now on that level. They hurt opponents. Even our wide receivers lay a hurt on people. Ask not so "Macho" Harris!
Excellent handling of the blitz by our offensive line and backs. Remember way back when several years ago when our offensive line seemed not to be able to recognize a blitz?
Gone too are the ghosts of a defense that seemed to play well for 54 minutes and fade when it counted the most. There was never a hint of an eagles comeback
Another thing that bugs the crap out of me is the cop out that the Eagles youth hurt them and they didnt show up on the big stage. Sorry, but dont even come here with that one.
The Cowboys have youth at key positions as well. Felix, Austin, Phillips, Choice, Spencer, Jenkins..need i go on?

The Cowboys' are playing with an edge to them....and it is obvious from the secondary play, i.e. Hamlin, Jenkins, Sensabaugh getting hits on the WRs and making them think twice about catching the ball. Remember last week when Maclin was not even looking at the ball, but at the Cowboy defender coming at him? I love it. Now THAT is intimidation.

Sometimes these hits are penalties, but nevertheless make a big impression and have a mental effect on the WRs. Kept to a minimum, they work in the D's favor.

The vikings with the biggest marks on them will be Harvin and Favre----hate to be them this week.

If we don't have that interception in the red zone, we were way more dominant last week. We had a better run game and were better defensively.

Though the score would say this week, I still think they played better last week.

The eagles came out to play this week. I didn't see the fire last week, so that's why I'm more impressed with this victory. We didn't win this game with the big plays, instead we won by methodically dominating them in the trenches on both sides of the ball. I think it was much more apparent this week. Realistically, the score should have been more like 45-7, as we could have easily put up points on the first two drives. The eagles really lucked out on a fluke play with their first TD.

I agree with the Eagles bringing the best they had at least initially. But the Cowboys didnt panic in the face of all those blitzes. Chalk it up to coaching and preparation and just punched them in the gut repeatedly.
I just love that time of posession in both games
I bugged me that the feeling was the Eagles held back last week or implied with a few plays, or caught passes that the outcome would have been different.
Not so fast my little friend
The boys put a severe physical hurt on the opponent for the 3rd week in a row

Yes!

I commented yesterday on what Bookie had to say about not really dominating them last week because of opportunities missed.

Yesterday was total dominance!

Only thing that still worries me is the penalties. WAY, WAY too many penalties. Cost us points on the first two drives and the final drive after Ware stripped McNabb. If we continue with the inopportune penalties, I fear it will cost us at some point. IMO, the penalties are the one and only reason the game last night wasn't a complete blow out.

The Eagles knew what to expect in the third game. The fact they still couldn't solve the defense, or the offense, made this game a more dominate effort. Philadelphia knew what Dallas was going to do, but were powerless to stop it.
