It would be great for Phillips to take this team to the Super Bowl and win it all. He will finally receive the recognition that is due to him.

Sure, some will say it was BP's team, etc., etc., but end of the day, BP could never win a playoff game with this club. When Phillips does, it should speak volumes about his coaching.

And I'd also add, it's not that Phillips didn't have any pressure on him following a HOF coach like BP. Anything but making the playoffs would have been seen as failure.

I agree. I like BP and was glad he was here and think this franchise was put in the right direction under BP, but I think Phillips has put his own stamp on this team and his players have responded.
