When is the window for RFA's Closed?, is it before the draft?

Atogwe's market value is difficult to pinpoint, and that's why the Rams are giving other clubs a chance to make an offer. Other clubs can do so until April 15. Then the Rams will have exclusive negotiating rights until June 1, at which point they will have two options: tender him at nearly $7million or let him become an unrestricted free agent.

steelers arent taking a safety in rd 1...they have much bigger holes..ET isnt falling past Houston at 20 is my guess..

I dont think it is very far fetched to see Earl Thomas fall into the early 20s..at that point it is realistic to think dallas could move up to snag him

this is a scenario that I continue to dwell upon, there is about 170 points difference in value on a draft chart between picks 20 and 27, that's approximately a mid third rounder, so I keep thinking that might be a bit too pricey for Earl Thomas unless he's an exceptional upgrade at safety.

There apprears to be a good buzz on Hamlin but if Thomas were brought in competition in the preseason isn't a bad thing even if we all know Thomas (or enter highly drafted safetys name here) is going to start barring injury.

Ed Hervey, Alex Wright and Randall Williams were all fast too. Maybe they could be better than Michael Irvin.

Oh wait.

I don't watch college ball so I have no idea what kind of a football player he is.

I watched him at the combine then what they showed of his proday. He has bad hips, but if he has the same speed in game that may be a push.

I am not a fan of his nor do I actually have an opinion one way another about us drafting him. He is really big, really fast, and seems to have bit of a chip on his shoulder.

as a negative he looks like a cartoon dinosaur.

If we drafted Nate Allen it'd be purely based on his tape. He didn't workout at the combine and had a disappointing Pro Day apparently. Do you want to spend your first rounder on a guy with your only knowledge of him coming from his tape against Big East opponents?

Because of what he can do. The Cowboys have lacked this type of reciever, speedy slot guy who can get down the field, take covergae away from Austin and Roy (ughh). No one worries about Crayton running down the field or running a crossig pattern. Like I said, i didn't think people would agree but this kid can play, he show's it on the field, he can return kicks and punts. I know him and Tony will click rt away. For me, it would be a steal to get him in the third. U dnt have to agree.

He is to old, he isn't speedy and he won't go before the 3rd, Mayock said most teams give him a 4th round grade. If he is drafted in the third, it wouldn't be "a steal". Gettin a steal in the draft is when you land a player way later than expected.

Yeah I don't think Nate Allen is worth a 1st round grade...I'd put Morgan Burnett ahead of him. I see Allen as a mid 2nd rounder. If he fell to us with our 2nd round pick, of course we should jump on it. What's the report on Major Wright? I know he's a hard hitter but how's his coverage?

I'm still high on Chris Cook from Virginia...move him to safety

Ok, one more time, I FEEL that what he can produce for us is worth alot more than a 3rd round pick, in my eyes. So to ME that would be a steal. If u say he isn't speedy than I don't think u have seen him play. If u look at his forty time than u would pobably say he isn't speedy, but he plays faster. Sorry u dnt agree.

Why wouldn't Houston go running back in the first?

We'll probably be drafting a SS type if we do draft a S at all. I think Mike Hamlin is the guy at FS.

We're looking for the next Polamalu.

tape >>>>> workout

Besides, its obvious he isnt slow or lacks athletic ability.

I also read where scouts and football people have been impressed with Allen's football IQ and his ability to diagnose plays.

If we take him at 27, I really have no problem for it. Ideally you'd like to get him a tad later, but if you cant move down and you like the guy, you go ahead and take him unless another player/s still left have a significantly higher rating. He definitely isnt going to be there where we pick in round two.

Agree with this.
