I bet Giants fans are whining about being robbed because those 2 calls were both bad and went in Dallas' favor and despite the final score could have changed things.

While both could have been called the other way, my thinking is this

On the no call, the DC defender did "hit" the Giant receiver in the back with his left hand but it did not push him forward, down or to the side, it didnt really change his body position. The only reason he did not catch the ball was because the Cowboy smacked the ball with his right hand

On the call against the Giants, what the defender was doing was holding the receivers right arm back. Who was it, I forget, was it Cobb? He was never able to bring his right arm around so he could attempt a 2 handed catch. The defender held the receivers arm back. granted it was not especially blatant but that is what I am assuming the ref saw. Plus there was a small tug at the jersey, but I am thinking that it was more about holding the arm back.

I think both were really close but the refs got them right

He also didn't turn his head around, which is one thing the refs really focus on. Watch that play at full speed, looks completely like PI.

I wouldn't have called either one. But I could see where both could be called. IMO the DB down the left sideline was a bit handsy the entire way down. No need for that when you've got good coverage. Seemed like he was solely focused on grabbing that right arm.

Yeah the one against Cooper was for sure a bad call. No question. That is NOT PI. The Giants got hosed on that one. BUT, they called a phantom holding call on us to wipe away our first TD. They also allowed Hernandez to start scenes on the field and never once flagged him for being the instigator. All in all, I think Dallas as usual got the shorter end of the stick on bad calls.

I thought they were questionable but PI is a mess in general. The way the NFL is handling these reviews is only making the problem more obvious.
It should’ve been PI on Chido Bandito on Engram. He was early. We got shafted on so many other calls that I’m not worried about it.

He grabbed the right arm right as the ball arrived and didn't turn his head around. You guys are being swayed waaaaay too much by the announcers. (Not you, Famma!!!) That was textbook PI.

Honestly, the cowboys got screwed on a few calls themselves.

so it is what it is.
Exactly, the game was decided by the Cowboys 429 yards to the Giants 271 yards and the fact that the Cowboys could actually score TDs when they got to the Giants half of the field

I agree with both your assessments. Could've gone the other way, but I see why they didn't...especially the no call. That looked a lot worse in real time than in the slo-mo.

Eagles fan not Giants fan but yeah, Walter is already crying http://BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/nflreview.php

Yep, right at the end he grabbed his arm. I was telling my Giants friend had he not done that at the end I think he would have gotten away with the rest.
