Those 2 interference calls

I bet Giants fans are whining about being robbed because those 2 calls were both bad and went in Dallas' favor and despite the final score could have changed things.

While both could have been called the other way, my thinking is this

On the no call, the DC defender did "hit" the Giant receiver in the back with his left hand but it did not push him forward, down or to the side, it didnt really change his body position. The only reason he did not catch the ball was because the Cowboy smacked the ball with his right hand

On the call against the Giants, what the defender was doing was holding the receivers right arm back. Who was it, I forget, was it Cobb? He was never able to bring his right arm around so he could attempt a 2 handed catch. The defender held the receivers arm back. granted it was not especially blatant but that is what I am assuming the ref saw. Plus there was a small tug at the jersey, but I am thinking that it was more about holding the arm back.

I think both were really close but the refs got them right
I think I've seen that type of behaviour before. What I find interesting is we may be reaching the we just won the game here's the conspiracy against the opponents stage of the relationship. Dating refs is hard work.

Yep, right at the end he grabbed his arm. I was telling my Giants friend had he not done that at the end I think he would have gotten away with the rest.
I think you may be right.

If it was the other way around this site would be blowing up with conspiracy theories and tissues for the rest of the season. There have been much less obvious calls that have gone against us and people were already making excuses for why we would lose, it’s a common theme.

Anyone who thinks most of us wouldn’t be furious if that was our guy getting mugged in the red zone on a crucial play and it wasn’t called PI would be lying, the Giants got screwed on that play. Then the PI call, with much less contact, when it was 3rd and long and put us on the 40 was a total momentum changer.

I’m not claiming conspiracy or whining about it, the officials suck league wide and I just want to see a fairly called game for once. We got away with some and so did they but those 2 were huge and again, if Cowboys fans were being honest, they would be throwing a fit right now if that happened to us and we lost.

You only get that int call against us if the defender hits the receiver in the back, tackling him early, causing incompletion. Because the player was coming over the shoulder, playing the ball and knocked it completely away, that early bump had no impact on the receiver not catching it.

Calling the personal foul on woods when Hernandez come in and shoved him should have been called on Hernandez.

the pass interference on cooper was clearly a pass interference.

the long screen pass to Saquon should have been called back because of a hold on 70.

on the gallop Td the giants player stopped in his pass rush because he was offsides but there was no calls.

It’s telling how you said “the Cowboys fans”

Several of us here realize you’re a Giants fan.

Gotta get your head around, if he looked back for the ball likely wouldn’t have gotten called. And we had a few bs calls on us. And a few not called.

Dont care what any team thinks what any fans think or what any media think. Dallas has been hosed on so many calls this yr that they deserve some calls. IM not one to complain about refs but i have never seen it this bad for the Cowboys as it has been this yr.

He also didn't turn his head around, which is one thing the refs really focus on. Watch that play at full speed, looks completely like PI.

love how the announcers were like "there was hand fighting by both all the way down the field." there really wasn't. Cooper didn't do anything.

Officiating was atrocious on both teams. This crew has the Hocules Syndrome. They Desperately wanted to become part of the game rather than officiate it.

In today's NFL anything can be considered PI. I don't think it was PI but the rules are lame. Anything can be considered PI

I thought they were both pass interference.

I saw the Giants false start twice with no calls. (I watch a lot of plays frame by frame)

Exactly, the game was decided by the Cowboys 429 yards to the Giants 271 yards and the fact that the Cowboys could actually score TDs when they got to the Giants half of the field

like 70 of those Giant yards came in their 2nd-to-last garbage time drive.

Giant fans have nothing to say because the hold on Tyron negating the TD was a joke.

also 5 personal fouls on the Cowboys in the 2nd half, the first of which was absolutely absurd, and the other 4 not being great calls either. spare me.

If you don't think Baker committed PI on Cooper, you should go back and watch that play again

ya know. I did feel like it wasn’t horrible PI.

but Baker was handfighting Cooper the whole way and never looked for the ball.

1. Cooper make it to that pass without the band fighting.

2. If you don’t look for the ball, and there is contact, the refs are going to throw that flag more often than not. All he has to do was turn his head, and he didn’t. That’s the DB’s fault.
