It would be one thing if we advanced the ball due to penalties by the defense....or busted coverages. But we moved the ball with ease....then Garrett goes into brain freeze. You CANNOT leave points on the field like that in a single elimination tournament. IF we score like you SHOULD on those drives, then we are NEVER talking about how bad our OL played. We FORCE Brett Favre to have to play from behind.
At the beginning of the 2nd half SAME thing. We force them 3 and out. Our offense takes the field and marches RIGHT down the field with Felix Jones. Then on first down we try a TOSS to Barber for a loss of 7 yards. THAT PLAY ENDED THE GAME. The entire team looked deflated. DUMB DUMB DUMB.
I am not a Roy Williams lover or hater. But if you get down to the 10 yard line. And you cannot throw or slant or a fade to him....then WHY ON EARTH DOES JERRY HAVE HIM HERE. And I think Jerry might be asking the same question. When the ball is at the 10 yard line....if it does NOT come out quick...the play is DOOMED. That is on Garrett and Romo.
I know in a loss like this it is hard to blame one person....but my bulls eye is on Garett...he KILLED any momentum this team gained with his playcalling and personell groupings once we got to the Vikings 35. the same thing happened against a team that wound up TERRIBLE like Denver. and Agaisnt a Green Bay team that just gave up 50 points to the Cardinals whose OL is WRETCHED. Too often this year we moved up and down the field as if we were in practice....only to COMPELTELY look confused on WHAT to do inside the 20s.
