Those who scoff at our FA preseason haul thus far, would you give 2 No. 1s for Deebo?

Deebo is not worth 2 #1s. Way overpriced.

I love what he did last season, but it's an outlier to this point, and we can't pay a rate based on an outlier performance.

Something more realistic would be Gallup and a first, for example.

There's no cause to consider acquiring Deebo. He's using the Cowboys as leverage to get his $$ with the 49ers. Everyone knows it. He wouldn't be worth the asking price, even if he were serious. You know it, we know it and so does the Cowboys' FO. It's nothing but a ruse, from the start.

Won't happen Dallas never makes big moves before the season. Just a ploy Samuel. Don't fall for it!

Hell no! Ridiculous.
There’s not a single receiver in the NFL I’d give two #1’s for…..not one.
With the salaries WRs are now starting to get, better to treat them like RBs. Recycle every 4-5 years.

no
did we learn nothing from the Galloway trade which was the same price?

True but when we got Galloway that team was old, with many players on the tail end of their career or retiring. I'm not saying Dallas should get Deebo but it is hardly the same situation.

Two #1's and $23ish million per year? Heck no. I wouldn't give a 7th and pay him that or sign him to that as a FA if he was. Not that he isn't worth it because IMO he is fantastic and a game changer, but rather because it would help this team more by using $23M on other positions. I said in another thread on the topic (I think it was a different thread) that if this came up before we signed Gallup then my opinion would be different, but with our WRs we are ok, not as good as we were last year of course, but good enough. We need help elsewhere and signing Deebo would kill the ability to do that

A No. 1 in 2023 and again in 2024 for a sullen Deebo?
Or a No. 1 in 2023 and a No. 2 in 2024 for Deebo?
(I do believe the 49ers know they'd be picking 15 in 2023 and 2024 anyway and not some high number. So either scenario would be generous, lads. Very generous.)

Look, suburban folk, you can't get anything of value without giving up something of value, correct?

So, debt-ridden lads of the Metroplex and beyond, if you really, really want Deebo and Stephen finds the money to pay Deebo, tha is a plausible way.
It is a 2 way street, blokes.

Not even.

We're finally building a team that could compete. Trading for a WR would be stupid stupid stupid.

no. and no. and no. we went that route. gave up a first for Cooper. how did that work out? we managed to turn that into a 5th round pick. buy high, sell low. a WR is not the issue with this team. its not going to make much of a difference. there are so many other things, like allowing the head coach you hired and put in charge to have input into the offensive game plan.

and lets say we gave up two firsts. get debo. give him a 28M avg per year contract. show me how that's going to translate into a superbowl?

if he takes 23M per year. do it. salaries are going through the roof. hill is at 30M, Adams at 28M, hopkins, brown at above 25M...you think Sameuls is going to accept 23M....!!!!

Does anyone actually believe he makes us a super bowl team?
If so then you should say yes
And never get a job as a GM
If not then why would you give two premium picks and a max contract?

That's not a fair trade.

I highly doubt the 49ers would accept that without something else threw in.
CeeDee is under contract for two more years at a cheaper cost. Deebo wants 30 million a season. I doubt the Cowboys would do this trade. San Francisco would not do it either.

I wouldnt take Deebo for free. He is going to want 30 million a year. We just finally got rid of one of those guys.

Well the Cowboys 100% wouldn't do it because they love the guys they draft.

San Fran wouldn't do it because I feel like they believe Deebo is worth more than just CeeDee straight up and they're probably right.

The only way this works out for the Cowboys is if we have both Deebo and CeeDee as a package because 1 for the other just seems too much like a wash.

Yes. We will never win a Super Bowl betting on the draft alone, anyway. And IF we are still tops in the NFC Least, then double yes if our next first is twenty-something. On the other hand, if we are no longer the best in the NFC, then we may be needing those next 2 picks, even if Daddy and Son are in charge.

Well good thing we dont bet on the draft alone.

Yup, right around $23M per. I'm talking the real money not the press release BS. Look at Hill's deal. It's going to be 4 years $95.4M or $23.85 per year. You think he is getting his $44M salary at age 32 in 2026 when he can just be cut?
