Considering the contract situation, is now the time to let Hamlin go and put Henry at FS and draft a CB with the first pick? Or should we sign Hamlin and keep Henry where he is and draft CB for the future?

Personally, I think keeping Hamlin might be the best option. He is one of the leaders of the defense.

Although I can see how some of you may think that justifies getting rid of him.

Keep Hamlin, move him to SS.

Move Henry to Free Safety.

Find Roy a spot on the bench, goalline packages, and special teams.

Get a good, solid starting CB in free agency, not the draft. If we expect to win next year, we cannot afford to go through the growing pains that most Rookie CB's go through.

Draft a CB in the second round, and let him play nickel packages and only start if injury forces it.

Cut Reeves.

Draft Tom Zibikowski, who could be a very good ST player, is a great punt returner, and could be a very adequate back up Safety.

I agree with most of this post, amazingly!

While I am not for cutting Reeves, I do believe that he will never be more than a good 4th and average 3rd CB. Steve Smith, a guy who has missed most of the year and is basically a rookie, had his way with him.

Henry was a nonfactor and may not have the quickness and agility to play on the corner; safety may be his ticket. Roy is still a quality safety but he is the weakest link in the starting secondary. Either surround him with better talent or find someone to compete against him. It's time to churn the secondary roster.
