-Booker-clearly the Cowboys were concerned who would fill the leadership void with the departure of Zach Martin along the line. They also kept on mentioning the closest they have got over the last 20 years, is when they had a strong running game. Division is loaded at the DT position, they have the bodies to matchup.
Was it a major reach? I would say no, not in this year's class. I wanted a more value positional player, but whoever they would of selected at 12 would of been considered a reach outside of only Jaylon Walker who I wasn't a fan of. Clearly, Will Johnson has scared teams off with his injury concerns. Always thought taking Golden at 12 was rich and the league agreed. Wished they found a trading partner. Don't hate Booker the player, just don't like all the high resources along the OL.
Thoughts/Opinions about rd 1:
-Both Giants/Browns made good trades. It looks like the Browns could take Sanders and not give up any draft capital. As for Sanders, ESPN's darling, it's a big wakeup call, respect the game and give rid of that entitled attitude.
-Steelers better hope they land Rodgers or another veteran starting QB.
-Falcons trading a future 1 for Pearce, talented, yes, but a major gamble with those character concerns
-Lions-Ty Williams was strange pick, when they need pass rush. They are already loaded at NT.
-Washington-another team passes on pass rusher when they desperately need one, what happened to Mike Green?
-Chiefs perhaps landed the biggest value pick in Simmons
-Not a fan of Campbell the linebacker, but the Eagles have a loaded roster to take that chance
