Thoughts about Booker, 1st rd opinions!

I disagree on the Giants. Dart isn't good and they'll have a new coach next year after he and the other two QBs on the roster fail in 25. For all the good they did by getting Carter, they undid it with Dart. Love to see it.

Washington--I think that was a fine pick. They're thinking like us, I think--load up on OL to fight the Eagles and make it easier for your QB.

Speaking of Eagles, I agree--Jihaad is a gamble with his injuries. They seem to be able to buck the norms though, so it'll probably work out just fine.

Falcons are just weird. They'll be looking for a new GM soon, surely. Trading a future 1 for Pearce is just bizarre.

I think the biggest loser in this round was the Browns. Trading for a future pick 'in a stronger draft' is stupid when you have one of the best prospects in recent memory for the taking. Graham is a much worse prospect than Hunter. Jags win there.

The best pick was Jeanty to Raiders. I truly believe he will revitalize that franchise.
Cleveland received a massive hall in the trade and most likely put themselves in great position for the manning sweepstakes.

-Booker-clearly the Cowboys were concerned who would fill the leadership void with the departure of Zach Martin along the line. They also kept on mentioning the closest they have got over the last 20 years, is when they had a strong running game. Division is loaded at the DT position, they have the bodies to matchup.

Was it a major reach? I would say no, not in this year's class. I wanted a more value positional player, but whoever they would of selected at 12 would of been considered a reach outside of only Jaylon Walker who I wasn't a fan of. Clearly, Will Johnson has scared teams off with his injury concerns. Always thought taking Golden at 12 was rich and the league agreed. Wished they found a trading partner. Don't hate Booker the player, just don't like all the high resources along the OL.

Thoughts/Opinions about rd 1:

-Both Giants/Browns made good trades. It looks like the Browns could take Sanders and not give up any draft capital. As for Sanders, ESPN's darling, it's a big wakeup call, respect the game and give rid of that entitled attitude.

-Steelers better hope they land Rodgers or another veteran starting QB.
-Falcons trading a future 1 for Pearce, talented, yes, but a major gamble with those character concerns
-Lions-Ty Williams was strange pick, when they need pass rush. They are already loaded at NT.
-Washington-another team passes on pass rusher when they desperately need one, what happened to Mike Green?
-Chiefs perhaps landed the biggest value pick in Simmons
-Not a fan of Campbell the linebacker, but the Eagles have a loaded roster to take that chanc
Don’t hate the player just believe there were better option at 12 then a Guard
Bass and Hoffman played well last year

Not saying they couldn’t use Depth but unless your moving T Smith out to LT and Booker in LG this doesn’t make sense

- Taking a guard was an indictment of the lack of trusted star power at the WR position and an understanding of how deep the RB class is. If this was top rated interior guy on either side of the line at this point, then this was a good pick.

- I’d be nervous if I was a Falcons fan. You double-dipped on guys that might have hit/miss potential.

- Ravens went full Ravens and made a future probowl selection.

- The Jags went full Draft Day and panicked, with a new young GM (just like in the movie) and threw caution into the wind to move up for Hunter.

- Not sure praise is appropriate for the Giants after moving back into the first for…Jaxson Dart? Ok.

- Teams really dislike Shadeur Sanders.

- The Steelers might not score 16 pts a game but it’s going to difficult to score 17 on them.

- If the medicals aren’t bad on the KC & Eagles picks, they hit dingers.

- If Cleveland doesn’t blow it, they could have an amazing first two days by selecting Graham, getting a first next year, and in having 2 early picks tonight.

- Favorite quote of the night is by Will Campbell when ask about protecting Drake Maye - “I'm gonna fight and die to protect them with everything I've got.” Maye had to smiling ear to ear.
