Yes, the Giants are really banged up, but Green Bay was too. Point is, you cannot take any team lightly, especially a divisional opponent at home.

Offense

-Giant's strength within their defense is their DL. Leonard Williams who missed the 1st matchup is back. Dexter Lawrence is one of the best NT's in the entire league. Pass rush is average at best outside of these 2. Their prized rookie flashes, but is developing. Running inside the tackles might be tough sledding, but teams have had some success doing so.

-Their linebackers are average and they have injuries across the board in their secondary. This might be the game to air it out and take advantage of the matchups. However, their DC blitzes more then any other team, they have success on third and distances cause of his exotic pressure packages. Cowboys need to avoid these situations, but Dak has a strong track record when teams come after him.

-Giants offense struggles putting up points, they cannot win many games in the 30's and not winning the turnover battle. Force them to play catch up and they will struggle.

Defense

-Playing the Giants is all about containing both Barkley and Jones on the ground. Detroit play press/man coverage across the board and everyone else inside the box. This was very successful. However, it led to some big QB runs by Jones. He is more athletic then many think and a spy needs to be on him. Expect to see many read options and a heavy dose of their run game.

-Slaton is the only real receiver to worry about, along with Barkley out of the backfield. Slaton has the speed to blow the top off a defense and is Jones most trusted receiver. He is the one player to key on in the passing game.

Special Teams

-They benched their punt returner due to fumbles and now he is back due to injury of Jackson their starting corner.

Jones had some big runs against us last time we played them.
Need to cut those out.
I think we spyed him and he still ate our lunch.

Quinn needs to convince the DL to not play hero ball this week, more than any other game, and just be patient and sound defending the run. Expect NYG to play an ultra conservative game to bleed the clock.

Offensively just don't allow Leonard Williams to wreck the game. No silly turnovers.

I want them to focus on Saquon

and play outside containment to keep Jones inside the pocket

im not sold on Daniel Jones beating us from the pocket......idc if we don't get one sack you CANNOT allow him to break containment if hes gonna run make him run up the gut

The gameplan should never ever ever ever be "air it out" with Dak as the QB. He is best when he is not asked to win games. Do what has been successful.. pound the rock - at least 30 rush attempts and take your shots when they are presented, be efficent with short passing game on 3rd down.. limit penalities and play solid D.

I would normally agree, but they will have huge advantages against their young secondary.

The Giants are an injury-wrecked mess right now. Variance is swinging back the other way after their hot start.

Offensively, they are down two starting CBs, you want to pass it against them.

Defensively, Saquon can kill you but Daniel Jones and his motley crew of WRs won't. So just load the box and put a spy on Vanilla Vick.

Jones will either hand it to, Bark. Or make a run for it himself.

Very similar to Hurts. They don't stay in pocket to long.

And let this be a word of caution for those who think the Gnats will be a easy foe. It's a NFC East divisional game and they always get up for us. They are wounded and they just lost. They have a new coaching system in place and the voices are being heard in their building. We don't always show up for Turkey day games and we are coming in on a huge sound victory over a 8-1 team. I think we win but I no way in hades believe it to be a cake walk as some on here profess it to be.

Dallas must contain the running game including Daniel Jones. I fully expect to see Barkley getting the ball a lot and Jones makes it hard to stay in man coverage as he will take off on the run. I think we see more zone coverages from the Cowboys this game. Offensively I think Dallas just need to continue doing what they do using a balanced offense, using play action. I think Cowboys will be able to put up the points on the Gmen and if they do I expect to come out of this with a win.

Well coached divisional opponent whose pass blocking offensive line and wide receivers are average at best. I know this roster pretty well.
They do better at run blocking.
Quarterback is a threat with his legs.
Saquon Barkley is a legitimate threat at RB.

Dexter Lawrence and Leonard Williams are a very good DL combo.

Linebackers(Jaylon Smith starts) are poor.
Present corners are poor(their starters hurt).
Safeties are average.

This is a divisional game so we're supposed to expect a nailbiter. Plus Dallas just played a very impressive game in all 3 phases so a come back down to earth decline is what this NFL says will happen when there is a supposed blowout in store.

But even with all of the above, this hurt Giants roster is not a good one right now so losing to them would be worse than the GB loss imo(as well as being a divisional loss, duh)cuz they dont have a proven X factor like Aaron Rodgers.

Cowboys better win this.
