Thoughts moving forward

I see many here are defeated, mad, upset, pissed off etc. Blaming mostly Dak, special teams, receivers, coaches, secondary and the list goes on.

First thing I want to say is Dallas will get hammered all week for their performance today. That's good, they will get doubted and deservedly so. That being said it seems Dallas does better when folks are against them, when the media hype them up they tend to fall and play bad. Perhaps wild card weekend will have those results and Dallas can finally beat Brady.

Dallas should be getting some players like Leighton and Hankins back. I don't like the Monday night playoff game but does allow some players an extra day to get healthy.

It's single elimination now, win and move on....or go home. Won't be easy as it's almost impossible to have a home game now. It will take a full team effort and for some strange reason I have a good feeling Dallas will beat Tampa. Could be the homer in me but typically I'm not confident, or at least recently, that Dallas will get the job done. We will see.

I have defended McCarthy all year and with back to back 12 win seasons what I'm about to say is crazy.......if Dallas does not beat Tampa Monday night, then Jerry needs to make some major changes. No way would it be acceptable to lose to Tampa wild card weekend with the much more talented team. That's including Moore, if he has the same gameplan he used this year and last year against Tampa. Includes Dak and Zeke...... Some will bring up no trade clause, well Dak can waive it since he would most likely get to pick the teams he wants to go to..... Before anybody says it, I still think Dak is a top 10 QB but if they lose to Tampa, this team needs a fresh start. The core is there so wouldn't be a complete rebuild

Mahomes has enough football equity built up to be allowed to do that. Dak does not. And remember, I’m a Dak apologist most the time.But two years in a row now he has regressed at the end of the season. This is why we really need to start looking at what Dak really is.

I disagree about the coaching staff, although would like Moore replaced. It's more about the front office. They did virtually nothing to replace Cooper, fix their run defense and had poor drafts that affects their depth. Losing your starting QB for 5 games, your hall of famer Tackle for majority of the season and still have 12 wins, is an tremendous coaching job. Changing the coaches isn't the solution.

Love the optimism but I will say this…They haven't played well since the Colts game and even the first 2.5 quarters there were suspect. The defense hasn’t put on any pressure. ANY. That was the hallmark of the good play earlier on. Yesterday’s lose was really, really, really bad. It’s hard for me to see a turnaround. Against Tom Brady too. I think my expectations are really low. Can’t get hurt.

If Biadasz is not available and in good form for the Bucs game, I don't see the Cowboys winning. Moving Tyler Smith to LG was a mistake, IMO. Can't see moving more of the OL around than necessary as a positive. They looked like a team that spent the 11 days before last night's game in Cabo.

An excellent post as usual, I feel pretty much the same way.

I do think they somehow seem to reset after a game like this and I for one will be surprised if they don't win Monday.

Big Mike delegates more than coaches, much like Jimmy did. I just don't think Mike has the power to make changes like Jimmy did. I would, just for once, love to see him call the offensive plays for a game. I think we are wasting a good portion of his talents. I do know the team plays hard for him and always to seem to bounce back.

I have been so hot and cold on Dak over the years that I just run tepid now. I'm no longer surprised whether he's lights out or terrible. He is what he's ever gonna be, but that's good enough behind a good balanced offense.

I do believe we are finally at a position of "wasting years". Like you stated, our core is very good now. Each year we fail, that core ages and we have to continually draft well to stay relevent.

The Prescott experiment is a grand failure!
Clean house find some team any team to take his inept @@@ out of Dallas as the Chiefs did with Smith.
If he refuses the trade bench his sorry @@@ and let him play cheerleader on the sidelines as that's pretty much all he excels at.
Zeke should be gone after we get tossed in the playoffs.
Clean house and do what most teams find a QB in the draft.
The con job of Dak and Zeke is closer to its end than its beginning.
