OFFENSE
i haven't seen Dak struggle like this since Chargers blowout win of Cowboys on thanks giving day 28- 6
- I also do not understand how Dak is struggling after 2 weeks away from playing a game when he went a whole month away from playing a game - but he was balling in his first game of the year ...period.
- Prescott was off with skips, over-throws, but his receivers and OL did not help matters with killer drops and hurries- pressures- sacks
- The Run game is more a luxury than a something we lead wiith ... i still am not content with the lack of 20+ yard splash runs that we get outta the run game .
- Zeke ended up being dinged with a knee contusion bruise, and he's very rarely out of a game per injury. Prior to the bruise his longest run was 8 yards.
- Pollard had a brillant kick return to open the game, and a couple of 8 yard runs, but his flat drop of a slant was a drive killer ..
WR/TE - Schultz had 4 catches while WR Maik Turner had 2 TDs in garbage time, Cooper plagued with drops Lamb was overthrown on two major deep passes. but only had 2 snags ditto with Lamb; ditto Ceddy, ..
OL - the run game was non-existent, and Dak was harrassed and sacked in moments and points of the game, if not for his quick release and mobility it wouldve been more
Steele debut at LT was a funk, he struggled with pressures an sacks, Lael was in poor condition the more game went on, plagued by 2 flags, .. there was no push in interior on short runs - poor game by OL
DEFENSE
DL - Parson got thru for sacks cuz Bridgewater holds ball so long ... but against backups, our DL got owned and crushed by injury patched Bronco OL , Bridge took advantage of Diggs on deep throw and at goal line (flag) and there were blown coverage assignments
DL got overpowered on several occasions, Devonta Williams contributed to poor tackling by the defense; no Gregory impact, i thought guys like Basham, Hamilnton, Watkins, even Osa had their issues vs run,
LBs - it wasn't one of LVE better games, Gifford was floored several times, ditto with Neal. Parsons stood out with his 10 tackles 8 solos and 2.5 sacks, ..but there times when he got wipe washed vs run,
Neal and Gifford were among those suffering vs run ;
DB - Teams are not in awe with Diggs INT skills, as they are eager to challenge him deep shot ,either big catch or PI flag, He's become a give-take CB and word out to double move as he often bites on first move; Brown was picked on too but Diggs out ranks him with surrendered catches and flags, i didn't feel the safeties out of this game,
Jourdan Lewis almost had a timely INT, but flag elsewhere nullify that
SPECIAL TEAMS - the block punt, and Pollard big KO return were the stand outs. i don't blame Wright for the touch that led to first down for Denv. Stupid rule by NFL.
Greg Z made his FG(s)
COACHING
- i thought Mike was ill- prepared and out-coached, how they did not anticipate Bronk overloading the line ....go figure
- Quinn's unit gave up big catches, and they simply could not stop the run - almost 200 yard rushing .!! Yikes !! ( de ja vue Rams playoff game )
- Kellen never made the halftime adjustment to dismantle Fangio's D" .. and i didn't see the exotic magic of jet sweep, hulk formation, etc.
- OL coach Philibin takes the slack for failures of the OL including non-support of LT Steele
