Armstrong would bring a starting caliber OL in trade. He would be cheap to another team and would free up cap space as well. Dude has got better every year. And there are teams that have more than 5 decent OL. But continue to speak like it wouldn't be possible.
No he wouldn't. If he did, guys like Armstrong would get traded for OL all the time. It does not happen.

It doesn't matter if they have "more than 5." To justify a trade for a player as inconsequential as Armstrong, you'd have to have 4 G or T who you trust to start games to be able to absorb a trade and still have that depth. That doesn't exist in the league. No team is stupid enough to forfeit OL depth - a capable swing T or G - for a rotational DE.

And again, you are ignoring the Cowboys' perspective which is that the cap savings get you nothing at this point (and, might not exist anyways depending on the contract you get back) gets you nothing and your effectively trading a comp pick next year too. The Cowboys would be trading DA, and a 6th for a backup OL with no term. There's no reason to do that.

If it is so obvious that it could happen, do the work and show which player might be available.

yeh Richards has been exclusively at OG in this camp from what I hear .. what if he uses preseason to get up to par as a OT ?
Does Asim play the LT role better than Walesko ?
Don’t forget about the Edoka if healthy. He can play either spot as well and was working behind Tyron at LT

The last OL depth trade was for Parker Ehinger who got hurt almost immediately off the plane and released once he could pass a physical the next year and has bounced around until 2021. Cowboys gave the Chiefs CB Charvarious Ward who ended up starting for them in the Super Bowl and is now a highly paid CB for the 49ers. These trades usually don't turn out well for the Cowboys. Nobody wants to do them any favors.

I can see an argument for either guy, but I think McKeon’s versatility and ability to play H-back might give him the edge. Certainly so if they don’t keep Luepke on the 53.

Just my opinion.
I respect that.

I'd like to see more of Luepke actually before I make my decision.

Isaiah Land is a LB prospect in the 2023 draft class. He scored a 8.60 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 372 out of 2652 LB from 1987 to 2023. http://ras.football/ras-information/?PlayerID=23056&pos=&wu=&ovl=Florida+A%26M…

DID HE DO ENOUGH ON SATURDAY TO CATAPULT HIM INTO THE ROSTER CONVERSATION?

Obviously, the jury is still out with two games left in the preseason.

When Land entered the game, he caused trouble for the entire left side of the offensive line.

He had the highest win rate on the team, although the team's top two sack artists, Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence, were not playing.

At this point, I don’t think they’re going to keep Luepke on the 53. So I’d say three RB’s and 4 TE’s. But that could still change.
i can see that view and would sign off...if i was anyone on VIP staff

ditto

they for sure are either going to keep four tight ends and use some of them to block in the short passing game like a fullback or they're gonna keep 3 and possibly keep hunter that's what preseason is for I guess we're going to have to see more of it.

He missed 5 kicks last year. He’s not ideal but he can make clutch kicks. This is ridiculous we are in this position year after year.
Lot of good kickers get the yeps and never recover.
FG kickers face the most pressure of any position in my opinion. They can literally win or lose a game for you with one kick. But least you don't hit a lot.
.
That four feet putt can be horrific under pressure.
