I really liked him coming from SF last year and was kind of disappointed when he went to the Saints. What do you guys think about him? He can play NT/DT in both 3-4 sets and Nickel/Dime sets and would be a good change of pace to either move Ratliff to end or simply spell him.

What say you?

I would love to see us pick him up. I wanted us toget him last year and we got Coleman while Franklin signed with NO for a song.

Would prefer to grab a Chapman or Fangupo in the draft. But wouldnt mind kicking the tires on this guy. He played out of position in the saints 4-3 IMO and we could probably get him cheap to be a 2 down NT .

He's older. In his early 30's. Liked him as a 9er. Seemed like he didn't have much of a impact with the Aint's. I guess you can do worse looking for someone to spell Ratliff.

I'm surprised we haven't look at him, which to me leads me to believe he simply isn't worth it at this point.

If Rob Ryyan wanted him, I think we would have him. It would certainly free us up from having to draft a tackle or an end.

That may be but i am hoping it is just a circumstance where they are just waiting to see what happens in the draft and for FA prices to go down a bit.

I'd give him a shot.

He did well the last time he was in a 3-4.

Saints don't play that so you might be able to get a better performance out him by getting him back into a 3-4

I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the Saints' bounty issues and whether or not he played a role.

But I'm also very interested in him and feel he'd be a nice addition regardless of the draft.
