WR/RB/CB/LB - these seem to be the options they will be looking for with 44 and 76 (unless Mike Green, Nick Emmanwori, Nic Scourton or Donovan Ezeiruaku fall into their lap)

Running various mocks

WR - typically gets pretty thin by pick 76 if your looking for an actual WR2
RB - deeper, but the value is probably later in 5th as there isn't much of a difference in the players near 76 and below.
LB - Carson Schwesinger is the only player worth pick 44 - then board drops to 4th round, which we don't have. They might reach here at 76 for someone.
CB - deepest of 4 positions where a good one will likely be there at 44 - Will Johnson, Trey Amos, Azareye'h Thomas, Benjamin Morrison, Shavon Revel. If you pass one of these guys - your looking at having to either reach in the 3rd or get lucky in the 5th.

my want list:
•cb ben morrison,notre dame.
•one of the ohio st super twins at rb.
•wr luther burden,mizzou.
•de nic scourton,texas a&m.
•wr tre harris,ole miss
•ot aireontae ersery,minnesota.

the buzzards came in rd1 and picked apart my dt's.
i wouldn't touch whats left over til the 3rd.
my 2 favs...alfred collins,shemar turner.

Don't forget Damien martinez

Im thinking:

WR ship has sailed. Sign Keenan Allen in FA after draft

44: likely to be CB. Can get a starting caliber player at 44 and that is not the norm for CBs

76: RB

Rd 5: will take DT

Hopefully they dont reach for a WR or LB at 44

I’m not sure they touch the spot with Sanborn and the Tennessee kid they traded for.
I kind of thought the same about OL. They had Hoffman, Bass and Richards and then brought in Jones, Charles and Adeniji, not to mention Nathan Thomas.

No way I'd sign Allen for more than a lunch box. I think there are several very good options for a #2 WR still left on the board. Burden, Harris, Noel, Bech, Williams, Higgins and more.
CB could be the pick at 44 but so could RB, DT or WR.
IMHO, waiting til the 5th is probably way too late for a meaningful DT worth taking.
And there's the dilemma, we need 4 positions filled with quality players and only have 3 (good) picks to use. JJ and co may have to get creative tonight.

Looking at Brugler's best available, I think we're less likely to take an RB in the second round if our ratings are anywhere close to similar.

Discounting the DEs, OL, TEs and Ss (which I don't think we'd take), he has CB Will Johnson, WR Luther Burden III, LB Carson Schwesinger, CB Trey Amos and WR Jaylin Noel before the next-best RB (Kaleb Johnson).

Of course, we drafted his 24th-best player at 12, so who knows?
