1. Dallas wins this game with Sean Lee
2. Dallas never got momentum back from Switzer fumble. Young team & there will be growing pains.
3. With Lee & possibly Hitchens next week - why not experiment with Jaylon Smith as situational pass rusher.
4. Jaylon is huge liability in coverage. Teams now have it on tape.
5. Something is wrong with WRs on this team. Either they don't run hard on routes or Dallas is completely being out-schemed.
6. For most part, I thought Cooper held his own against very good DTs.
7. Jourdan Lewis continues to impress me with tackling.

Wish I could point out more positives but this is team who hasn't established their identity yet. Back next week: Lee, Hitchens, Irving, Awuzie.

Agree with all those points. Very poor tackling in the open field today. Lbs and safeties had a very hard time with screens in particular and missed a lot of tackles. This defense isn't very good right now and when the offense isn't succeeding there is zero confidence the d will step up.

I disagree.

The team has an identity.

They fight it every week like a black sheep at thanksgiving.

(But otherwise agree)

Agree .....100% ( all points )

I agree about the WR's! Beas has disappeared and Dez sucks. Twill is awful with 2 huge drops.

I think 50% of the hate thrown towards Jaylon Smith is total cluelessness.

First off, the guy was never supposed to be starting. He's in there cause Htchens got hurt. Why wasnt he supposed to start? Because he missed two years of football AND had a catastrophic injury AND hes transitioning from college to NFL in light of that. This guy is going to be a great player and people are going to look very foolish. He needs time and he needs to be in a modern defense that doesn't have players playing back on their heels.

Lee does not win us this game. That's sweet, but completely off base.

As long as we have the tandem Jeff Heath/Byron Jones in the secondary the defense is going to stink.

your right. I forgot to mention Heath was not good today. Bad angles, not touching WR who get up and run for another 15 yards. Team needs stabilizer back there with so many rookie DBs and he is putting on a clinic of what not to do.

Don't be so dismissive of that point. Sean Lee would have taken away a lot of those underneath routes and would have diagnosed and shot the gaps on a few of those Gurley runs to shut down drives. Jaylon Smith has very little confidence and clearly doesn't trust his instincts or body. He's very reactive and always a step or two slow to the play. Look where he's making his tackles. Sure he's piling them up but the bulk of them are coming 5+ yards down field.

Why not let Noah Brown get more snaps next week. Team needs a spark.

There is no doubt Lee is missed, but the issues with this defense go far beyond his absence.

You know why? Nobody plays unless we have an injury. Come on Dez and that foot and Butler can take over!! And Butler is average to me, but the O will get better if that happens. Watch.

About point #5. Dak is responsible for quite a bit of this. WRs were open and he can't hit them. Accuracy is way off this year.

Not just Smith. Any LB not named Lee are just JAGS right now. I thought Wilson would step up but I was wrong.

Woods should be starting over one of the current S. Problem is that we don't have enough CBs right now.

Tackling is atrocious this year.

This right here..

I think he will be a good player but he is a reactive player. He does not trust his body or his eyes yet. He needs Lee next to him to help with that. He's not ready to carry the LBr.

That's not hate that's just the way it is right now. Dudes gonna be a good football player, but it's gonna take some more time to get there.

I hate to say this but none of our WRs are exactly top shelves. The scheme more than anything gets them open. Maybe we're losing a bit ground to coordinators.......

Jaylon is also a liability in run defense. He really should not be on the field.

Hope and pray for all that you want, but until this organization gets serious about the leadership - Garrett - this is going to be a continual yo yo organization. Up, down, up, down.
