You guys may think I'm crazy but I think there are huge differences from last year and this years D.

Outside of the first TD most of the coverage was there on D and they weren't just wide open. Last year there were games where there wasn't even anyone close in coverage. So that tells me our secondary didn't play that bad.

We couldn't get any pressure on the QB tonight. That's why Eli threw for what he did. When your DBs have to make every play they will get beat once in a while. Outside of the 2 plays from Spencer and one or two plays on the run game our defensive line didn't get any pressure to the QB and didn't make any plays against the run. The LBs didn't make plays either.

When you get nothing from your front 7 your D is gonna give up a bunch of yards. When our secondary had to make tackles for the most part they made them. But our front 7 were not involved in this game for the most part.

Last years D had more breakdowns in the secondary. I didn't feel like that happened tonight near as much.

my thoughts are DeMarcus Ware better stop reading his press clippings and start delivering...this defense is designed for the pressure to get there....there will be times when it does not...and you will give up plays...but it did not get there tonight much...and I also thought we did not disguise where the pressure was coming from enough....and I also thought we brought the pressure from the outside too much...should have brought it in his face more so he had to decide whether or not to turn left or right and read left or right...when you come from the outside it is pretty simple which side the protection should slide to and which side the hot read should go...WE WILL NOT beat good teams having to score 45 points a game
