Thoughts on the Giants Game

At this point I know for a fact that the team suffers from a confidence problems. Football is emotional game and the D mirrors the play of Bledsoe. If you don't beleive me go watch our loses.

I saw something today that I have only watched in Staubach videos an energy and belief that we can win. I have never seen our sidelines so alive since BP got here. For those of you questioning the move I think the players reaction only solidifies that it was time to make the change. The team had lost confidence in Bledsoe.

In Romo I saw a QB with pocket pressence and ability to scramble and make plays. I saw a QB that went through his reads and reacted QUICKLY! There was a couple plays where he was hitting his 4th read. That in itself is something to be happy about because Bledsoe struggled to get through 3. I saw Romo get Witten and Fasano into the game and show us what the O should look like. I saw a QB with heart and no quit. He could of laid down and died after the mistakes but he kept slinging and had circumstances been a little different he might of been the hero last night.

In the end we won because we got rid of the biggest problem this year. I knew these upcoming games were going to be stressful because of Bledsoe. Now I can watch them and not be scared to death of sacks or Bledsoe being shell shocked.

The QB carries the heartbeat of the team and we need a transplant and I think Romo is just what the doctor ordered.

I agree. I could see the energy of both the team and the crowd get way higher. Especially TO. We are gonna take some lumps with Romo, but the team obviously had no confidence in Bledsoe anymore.

Sorry...the notion that Bledsoe is also to blame for our piss poor defense is ridiculous. We didn't stop the Giants offense until they started running every play, and we couldn't even stop them then from running for a first down on 3rd and 12.

Nothing the offense or defense did after the game was out of control really means much of anything.

Of course I am not saying it was Bledsoe but his poor performances are getting into the heads of the team.

The Defense played well enough to win. Tiki's a quality back ... there's a reason why he's leading the league in rushing.

The D was let down by the O. 2 points on the Safety. 7 points left off the board due to Bledsoe's INT in the redzone. 7 points scored by the Giants for Romo's pass deflection/INT. Points left off the board for TO's drop on 4th and 2.

Them be alot of points to make up for. No D would be able to handle that.

Our problem was our immobile QB who needed max protection, causing our Pro Bowl TE to be a non-factor, who makes poor decisions when it counts, and who can't get rid of the ball when it matters.

Time to move on. Bledsoe was a mistake. Let's move on. Romo may be nothing more than a Gary Hogeboom or Steve Pelluer ... but at least we have a chance to see if he could be something more. Bledsoe is Bledsoe. Nothing more ... ever.

Agree. I'd rather take my lumps with a 4-year diehard guy than a 14-year half dead and stinky guy. Bill just has to do some coaching on the sidelines and stop styling and profiling.

I agree completely.Even the O-line has to be breathing a little easier knowing that every mistake is not necessarily going to lead to a sack or int.I was impressed with Romo considering the situation. He moved the team and made plays that Bledsoe could never have made.I wonder what might have been if Bledsoe had taken even ONE STEP to the side on the flea flicker.

I'd add that Giants special teams and defense got them 5 of the 12 points they had in the first quarter, but otherwise..
