I don't care who they have played, we haven't seen such home domination ever. Jerry's World never was a scary place for a road team as it is this season. Getting home field would be huge, but they need a lot of luck and good fortune to make that happen:

-Dak missed a few long passes early on, but was unstoppable in the 1st half. The offense looked stuck in the mud for the 3rd quarter as they were trying to get their run game going without consistent success.
-OL was outstanding, especially in pass protection, considering Dak wasn't sacked and was only pressured twice. Steele/Tyler looked good in the run game as well.
-Pollard has looked better in the last two weeks.
-Brandin Cooks might be the key to truly opening up this offense. He has that separation ability no other receiver has on this team. Lamb looked banged up.
-Excellent awareness by Brooks, in limited snaps he has looked good. Why haven't we seen more deep routes for Turpin?

Defense

-In my opinion, run defense was god awful in this game. It seemed like Washington was in third and manageable the majority of the game. They must shore this up or the better teams will beat them. Commanders dominated the time of possession.
-Credit the defense for making the 2nd half adjustments and stopping the Commanders multiple times on 4th and short.
-Where was the pass rush? Commanders have given up the most sacks and Howell seemed to easily navigate the pocket.
-Osa was the best defender on the day, making multiple key tackles for loss.
-Outstanding to see Bland break the pick 6 record, but I thought he played poorly for the majority of the game as he was beaten on multiple 3rd down conversions. Thought Lewis outplayed him this week.
-Gilmore made a terrific stop on a deflection in the end zone, before the Cowboys stopped them on 4th down.
-What has happened to Donovan Wilson, he constantly over run plays and missing tackles on a weekly basis.
-What will a good QB do against this defense when we see a player like Howell have a ton of success? Giving up just 10 points was great, but they should of had more.

Special Teams

-Should we be worried about Audrey? Missed extra points in back to back weeks.
-Once again Sam Williams with another bad special teams penalty.

The stretch run starts now, we really will see if this team is more of a contender or pretender in the next month. Seattle is going to be a desperate team next week, which makes the next game very challenging.

I love the win over our long time rival.
But we have to figure out how to beat the better teams.
I don't think anyone around here is going to be happy with a one and done post season.

The Cowboys had 4 sacks of Howell. If they did that every game it would be the 5th most sacks by a team in NFL history

We have to remember Howell came into the game leading the league in pass yards. They have a ton of weapons and a good OC. Moving the ball through the air shouldn’t be a surprise as that’s the only top level thing that team does.

Coming up we'll be facing teams capable of Zone AND pressure at the same time.
it has always been Daks Achilles heal.

We've have been facing teams who are broken.

Yesterday's team had no, I mean no, DEs, they would take a step forward and jump up and down,.

When you give a QB from HS to the NFL a clean pocket with 5 seconds they will carve you up.

The previous weeks before this, we faced secondaries who were totally broken.
Yesterday, once the 2 guys in the middle wore down the Commandos were toast.

Dak has played really well. But I need to see a strong finish. A trip to the NFC title game , and at least a sound performance there. Win or lose.

The results against against top tier teams are the only hurdle Dak has left.
He has more weapons around him on both sides of the ball than any other player in the league.
He needs to reach the next level.

we’ve not seen such domination EVER ?...... Err .... Not even in the ole 90’s dynasty days , eh ?

- I love and enjoy a blow out win over a hapless team too, but maybe we need to pump the brakes until we’re matched up vs the big competition ?
What does that tell us about Washington if they are blown out by Danny Devito & Co. at their own home turf ?
I still have the questions if we can we beat Niners on their turf in the playoffs -Washington just was not much a measuring stick.

- Seattle next week is not Philly or Niners - but they are not Commandoes either.
They have Gino and Metcalf/Lockett. Speedsters but they were subdued by Niners.
And they haven’t had much of a dangerous run game since Beast Mode.

But back to this Wash game.
I’ve really liked what I’ve seen from Dak and this pass game -and it’s really been a turn on at Home.

- Big Mac is not as stone stubborn as Garett, Linehan, ..he’ll take constructive criticism adjusted
and expanded into less dink n dunk Tex Coast ..and much more DEEP SHOTS and
vertical push downfield in pass game.

- Several upon several targets involved in this game ! WRs, TEs, ..news break: even the RBs in the pass game.
It was really raining Dakota passes like hell upon Commandoes pass defense - and that may have opened it up with our run game lead by Pollard and Rico. I’m still stunned that Rico has remained this healthy and durable well into the season.

- Pollard is starting run more angry now. I’ve not yet seen patented home run yet but maybe it depends on OL getting him to 2nd level ?

- Yees ! finally saw a RB screen for huge splash plays... ala Rico’s TD.

- I thought Commandoes DL was rendered silent and non-existent by our OL - Jon Allen and Ron Payne again were not big disrupting factors against us.

- 1st half was surprisingly closer game, but I guess we just poured on such attack in the 2nd half so that Wash’s dam just busted big time - and it became a rout

- We’ve been able to keep Tyron Smith intact. Tyler is dominating every foe, Martin is still not typical Martin (how much is age, how much is it scheme) Since the horrid Philly game, Steele has put together solid games Biadasz is till somewhat up & down, but our Rbs have seen some daylight in the middle - and they got to the edge vs Wash.

- When Dak uses his legs more to avoid up rush or get upfield for plus yard ( and slide or run out bounds!) he makes us tougher to defend and contain.
Big Mac subdued him first half of season - finally expanded

- This Cowboys offense is much more versatile and dangerous when Lamb and Cooks are paired up -
Cooks and Turpin can jet run by just anyone, any secondary if schemed and targeted right.
No one has yet to slow Lamb down since he griped the Big Mac out. Nice to see Tolbert getting into the mix, maybe a tone to where either Gallup or Tolbert will make some nice catches either way.

- Ferguson put on another show -he's emerging as one of the better TEs in the NFL - Cowboys are not afraid to hit middle seam with Fergy or the WRs now.

- What is that deal with FG kicker Aubrey ? FGs are automatic (has made very single one this year) but the extra points are looking shaky now
