Well I don't think we will need a Ring of Honor date this year because I don't think anyone is going in. I would love to see Drew Pearson go in and think he is the most deserving, but I don't see that happening. Eventually, I think Darren Woodson will go in, but not just yet. There are other deserving guys from the 70's, but I don't know that Jerry is going to put some of them in because he wants to keep it so exclusive. But, we shall see.

How about Roger Staubach...Jay Novacheck... Charles Haley....Larry Brown... Leon Lett... Russell Maryland... Jim Jeffcoat....Jimmy Johnson... Drew Pearson... Tony Dorsett...?

It's a whole lot of people you could honor... I know that the Dallas Cowboys going to honor somebody on that sunday night game and hopefully we kick deadskins butts...

Staubach is already in the Ring. He went up there in 1983. Dorsett is also already in. He went up there in 1994.

Haley was great for us, but he doesn't epitomize the Cowboys. I don't think he will ever go in. Brown was not good enough to go in. Lett was also not good enough to go in, plus his bonehead moves would keep him out. There is no TE up there, so I doubt Novacheck would be the first. Plus, if you put Novacheck in do you put Moose in there? That becomes a slipperly slope of putting in really good players that helped win Super Bowls, but not the type of amazing players that really deserve the honor. Likewise, I don't see Jeffcoat or Maryland making it either.

Pearson is probably the only one left from the old days that could make it. After that I think Woodson will go in and I think Allen will go in when he retires.

Johnson could make it I suppose. If Jones wanted to try and recruit Johnson back to coaching after Parcells left, what a better way to do it than put him in the Ring of Honor in the next year or two? But I doubt it happens.

I doubt we have an induction this year. Especially since we have had 7 guys go in since 2001 and before 2001 we didn't have anyone go in since 1994.

You might want to hold off scheduling the Skins in your ring of honor/homecoming games for a little while...the one last year didn't go quite as planned. What a show we put on for the triplets - The miracle finish...Santana toasting your secondary, making Brunell look like Doug Williams. Then there was that hit Sean Taylor laid on Crayton. Wow. That looked like it hurt...if he would have caught it, 1st down cowboys, the drive would have continued and maybe you guys would have pulled it out. That's what makes Taylor a force, he's clutch. Just like Santana...what a game.
