1. Deon still looks good...had the interception against GB and stopped the big bruiser Henderson from a first down, forcing a punt...he does tackle when necessary :). The thing that surprised me is that Deon is no longer a nickel back in Baltimore...he's playing FS essentially, every down! He is playing what they are calling the deep or back safety, while Ed Reed is playing the up safety....I wish he was playing FS for us the last two years.

2. I see a QB like Bret Favre sitting in GB, suffering with a horrible team that is also pulling his performance down as he makes horrible decisions. He should and will retire a Packer, but I would love to have him play 2-3 years in Dallas...no disrespect to Bledsoe, but Favre still has the arm, still has pretty amazing mobility which we could really use, and he's always had a good sense about getting rid of the ball and finding the RBs open underneath...it's a shame he's going to have to retire or suffer through another year in GB, though I'm sure that's probably what he wants.

3. I have as much respect for Glover and Ellis as any players on our team, and they are still contributing, but if we're truly going to play mostly 3-4, I think I'm ready to deal them both before the draft. Neither will bring a first round pick....maybe Ellis could bring a 2nd from a team playing the 4-3 because he'd be a very effective DE alongside someone who's an established rusher. Glover might bring a 3rd, but even if we only got a 3 and 4, those would be key draft picks that could be used to maneuver for guys we want earlier in rounds 1 & 2. Spears and Canty are clearly the future at DE in this 3 man line...and Johnson and Ratliff will provide good depth...it's time to get what we can out of these guys while they may still have some value that could help us fill some of our holes.

4. Speaking of holes: OL (2), TE/HB (block/receiver...seems we're phasing out the FB), WR (1 for the future), LB (1 true stud), FS, NT.......oh yeah, a REAL developmental QB with mobility.

I like the Deon thing but we need to get young there.

No to Favre

Yes to moving Ellis/Glover - we can pout all we want, but this type of defense is not for them. We can get draft picks to help out our offense. Done deal, get er done Billy.

I agree. Dallas cannot just let Glover and Ellis go. Either keep them and play them or trade them. They should be able to get something in return. I sure hope they don't just released and Dallas get nothing in return.

I dont think that Parcells would like Farve because he takes way too much chances

I would not like him in Dallas. Yet another QB that makes poor decisions. No thanks.

Tom Brady I would take. He makes good decisions. They are getting hot again.

The way the media fawns over Favre, I cannot see him a Dallas Cowboy.

If that occured, I believe the paradox would make the mediots heads explode.

I'm pretty sure Deion is playing both corner and safety. And in all fairness, Brett threw that interception right to him. The two closest players to Deion had Baltimore jerseys on.

Also I don't think Parcells thinks to highly of farve. I have heard him defend his QB's bad play by looking at other QB's in the league that struggle. Farve is the only name he has ever mentioned to this effect.

So either he doens't like the guy or holds a grudge on him for getting beat in the SB by Bret Farve and the packers.

Deon isn't coming back to Dallas....I am just impressed at how well he's played in Baltimore and that he IS playing safety.

Favre isn't coming to Dallas, and he isn't the answer to our problems either...I was just thinking aloud that he would be a better fit than he currently is in GB, that he deserves better, and that I still think he'd be better than Bledsoe.

Just observations...not suggestions or possibilities...Dallas needs to continue to get younger all the time...younger and better.
