Houstonians and firefighters from across Texas and the nation will come together at Reliant Stadium this morning to honor four Houston firefighters who died in Friday's five-alarm blaze at a southwest Houston restaurant and motel.

The public memorial service for Houston Fire Department firefighters Robert Bebee, Matthew Renaud, Anne Sullivan and Robert Garner is scheduled to start at 10 a.m., preceded by a procession of firetrucks, equipment and fellow Houston firefighters around Reliant Park.

The four were killed in a roof collapse at a restaurant attached to the Southwest Inn in the 5800 block of the Southwest Freeway. Thirteen other firefighters were injured battling the blaze, one critically.

I read that firefighters from Austin and Dallas were volunteering their time to the Houston firefighters who wanted to attend the memorial.

That's so sad.

I just read that the Texans were changing their practice today to attend. That's great.

What a horrible tragedy.
