Does Del Tacos still exist? I recall eating there ones or so, but I don't recall if the food was any good. (I was sub 10 years old) They all closed up around the Metroplex, but I think they were based in California.

Chopped smoked pork with a spicy jalapeño coleslaw and tequila BBQ sauce.

it really is the glory of all tacos. They also have some bad *** enchiladas and 3 dollar margaritas.

I've driven by Guajillos a thousand times in SA and have never tried them. If I knew they had tacos al pastor I would have stopped. Well next time...

The best tacos I've ever had are at a little hole in the wall in Greenfield, CA (on the 101 south of Salinas) called Taqueria Las Fuentes. We happened across it on a drive up to Carmel, and now we make a point to stop every time we go through. Three generations of women working - grandma makes the tortillas, daughter serves, mom does everything else. Insanely great tacos (and unbelievable chorizo & eggs, too). I think we're still the only non-locals who've ever eaten there.

Okay, for anyone in those towns I have to know if you have tried them and are they as good as advertised?

There's a place on there called Tio Luis Tacos in Chicago that's not too far from my Dad.

Next time I go to Chicago, I'm going to swing by to try it out. My Dad needs a restaurant on the south side he likes.

Can you get Al Pastor in the US? had these in Mexico and well, lets just say i left Norway in December at 76kg came home in Feb at 84kg. So yeah, they're really good

After an unfortunate Mexican food experience I made a rule that I will not eat any Mexican food east of Texas and north of Arizona.

Lyle Lovett gave it to the Mississippi river....trust no mexican food east of there.
