Three games I'm getting over the next 3 months

I began Middle Earth today. My roommate went ahead and bought it (We both thought it looked really good, and we've both played and beaten the first one). I only played for about an hour before work but I'll say if you enjoyed the first one then you'll enjoy this one.

Basically the same game with more stuff added to your leveling system, and the killing Orc Captain systems. Bigger map with more to do then the first one.

Basically the first game on steroids so it should provide a great deal of fun.
Do you know if its just set in Mordor of if there are any other parts of Middle Earth open?

Thanks for hands on impression. Saw some 7 ratings and was a bit let down. Loved the first one so will pick it up soon!

Not a huge gamer but bought Mario Galaxy for my kid and loved it. Will have to check out the latest in the series. Mordor/Middle Earth available for Xbox? Kid friendly?

Not kid friendly, graphically violent; decapitations, etc. Ori and the Blind Forest and Rayman Legends are good kid friendly games on Xbox with great ratings.

Definitely worth it, if you liked the first one. Since you did I see no reason that you won't love this one as well.

I've been seeing reviews that says the game is an improvement in every way from the first one.

The thing that people hate about it are the micro transactions. Can't say that I disagree but I'm not sure if it affects the overall product in this case.

I probably won't get it despite liking the first one a lot because I do not want to support or encourage this predatory practice of microtransactions and dlcs which is everywhere like the plague.

Every game has some sort of "loot box" now and it's ridiculous.

I rarely buy games at such a rate, since the games I enjoy are typically very long I usually get a new one once ever 4 or 5 months. However, the fall releases have me going to well a bit more often

1: Mario Odyssey . This franchise hasnt let me down in 30 years. Wii had two of the better entiries in the Galaxy games. Mario 3D world was pretty good, but Im hoping it becomes what Mario Sunshine was to Mario 64 and Mario Galaxy. A good game sandwiched between to legendary games.

2: Middle Earth: Shadows of War. The sequal to Shadows of Morder which was a sleeper hit in 2014 and insanely fun. Im really looking forward to seeing what they have done with the Nemisis system.

3: Skyrim VR Playstation : I just can pass up a stroll through Tamriel in VR. I just cant. This will be my 4th purchase of this game ( PS3, PC, PS4) which i have qualms with. Ill support a quality product if I feel I have a reason to buy it.

I much preferred Sunshine to Galaxy (still have barely played the 2nd one). I liked the worlds a lot better. Galaxy felt too minimized with tiny little spheres that rotated whereas Sunshine and 64 had more open levels.

No kidding, whomever came up with DLC, microtransactions, skins and loot boxes need to be marched off a short pier. Ditto for digital content, give me back my boxes, disks, strategy guides{not PDF thank you}and 100 page manuals please.:hammer:

Micro transactions will be the death of me

“Daddy, I can get 100 crates for only $49.99. It’s a really good deal” :(

“Daddy, if I don’t get the season pass I won’t be able to play with my friends on certain maps” :(

**** game developers. Case in point right here.

Other countries are legislating game developers for loot boxes and it's connection to gambling. I hope it's something we do in this country as well.

This NONSENSE makes my blood boil.

I’ve spent over $200 in keys on Rocket League for my son so he can barter trades for skins and such. I think gambling in video games, where you can cash out with PSN/Steam cards is coming soon, 86

Rocket league is $30! The fact that you had to spend that much after buying the game itself is ludacris! UGH.

You can already do it on steam and there are many third party sites that will help you cash out. There was already one major "scandal" involving counter-strike global offensive and its only a matter of time before it happens in other big games like dota and league of legends if it hasn't happened already.

All of this for digital cosmetics.

We didn’t buy it. We downloaded it when it was still free.

CS:GO has also cost me a fortune. Gah!

You’re right, it’s all for cosmetics, mostly.

Hell, I bought my son a CSGO karambit for Christmas. Bleeding into tangible, real life, wares

2nd one was ok.

Ive been hearing there may either a sequal or a remaster of Mario Sunshine

You must play ESO hahaha

Got Shadow of War - it's not playing too nice with my graphics card. Render distance is crap.

I'll check to see if they updated my drivers, because outside of that, I may need to wait for a patch.
