Crayton is the smartest WR we have and has the best hands (until I see RW prove differently). But he does not have the raw talent that Austin does. Austin is faster, quicker and stronger. Anyone with an eye for football can see that.
Austin will start as long as RW is absent. But he'll get his touches. And if he continues to do well he'll push Crayton into the slot where he really belongs anyway.
