( I am not a big Hurd fan) TE's are good even with an injury due to depth there but WR could be a potenial problem. I didn't think we did enough this off season to have 4 rock soild WR's. IMO

The second thing we didn't solve is Oline depth - We did absolutely the bear *** minimum this off season here. Brewster - they fell in love with his footwork and i can understand that but gentlemen its easy to have good footwork when you are in a two point stance 99% of your college career in a spread formation. Its much harder to come out of a 3 point stance to pass block... Believe me when i say this..This guy may have the potenial to be a good player in the future, maybe 2 seasons or possibly 3 season from now... I am not picking on this guy but just stating he is not ready to take a starting position right now and frankly the players we have behind our starters are very very thin.. Now your oline depth should be 4 rock solid guys... we basically have two...Now if for some reason Holland doesn't beat out Kozier, he is your top backup for Guard and hopefully Center which is fine and i certainly like the idea of having him play center as well, but beyond him we have McQuisitan as our Swing Tackle who is a decent player and beyond that we have no one..Please don't mention Proctor or Free neither seem to be able to play and frankly i don't believe either will be on the roster after August (or should i say they shouldn't be on the roster but unforunately Proctor maybe still there because of his ability to be a body at Center and Guard however he can not play either position so i certainly won't pretend to understand why the Cowboys chose to keep him and not address oline depth as they should have this past draft... so with that all said we just haven't done enough at the oline depth to make me feel comfortable if Gurode goes down or Davis for example. IMO

Thirdly - Punt returner - We just haven't found a guy to return punts outside of Crayton who is average at best. well at least he doesn't fumble them that says something for him. But we need a breakaway threat there and we just don't have that.. I understand they are trying Mickens and Smith at punt returner well maybe that will work out.

Outside of those three things we are pretty solid especially on Defense and special teams... The offense shoule be effiecient... Again our depth at WR and O-Line scares me a bit.

Summer Fantasy Outlook: Dallas Cowboys

The two keys to a successful draft in fantasy football are: 1) Selecting players who will perform better than expected; and 2) Staying away from guys who will disappoint. In this 32-team series, I examine both types of players on every NFL team as the clubs prepare to head to training camp.

DALLAS COWBOYS

2008 Fantasy Ratings:

Rushing: 22nd.

Passing: 7th.

Overall: 11th.

Don't underestimate the impact of Terrell Owens.

The 49ers still aren't anywhere near the offensive force they were while they employed the tempermental wideout. And Donovan McNabb is just now regaining the same elite-level status he enjoyed when paired with Owens.

So, history tells us Tony Romo won't nearly be the fantasy force this year that he's been the last two seasons. The question is: How far will the dropoff be?

The Cowboys enter the season talking about running more, about using two tight ends more, about needing to get more production from guys who were fourth and fifth wide receivers last year.

None of that sounds encouraging as far as Romo's numbers are concerned.

There's even talk of the "Wildcat," with Felix Jones taking some direct snaps.

Uh, that's not good for Romo, either.

So, how far will the dropoff be? I'd let some other fantasy owner have to deal with that question.

Projected 2009 Overall Fantasy Rating: 14th.

Most likely Cowboys to be better than expected (2008 position ranking in parentheses): RB Mario Barber (16th among running backs), RB Felix Jones (not among Top 40 running backs), TE Martellus Bennett (not among Top 40 tight ends).

Most likely Cowboy to disappoint (2008 position ranking in parentheses): QB Tony Romo (ninth among quarterbacks).
