i think the Falcons got ripped off, don't think Abraham is worth all those picks.

Too bad Michael Vick still sucks as a QB.

Yeah only a pro bowler every year he was starter (besides the injured season of 2003)

Falcons are the big winners in my mind.

Broncos are seemingly trading up for LenDale White but i'm not sure it is worth it in their system.

I don't know about that. I understand what you are saying, but the Jets picked up another first round pick. They could either trade those two picks to the Texans for the top pick or get two quality first round players.

Another scenario could have them trading that first round pick for additional picks later on. Don't forget, they've lost a lot of players this offseason and haven't made a huge splash in FA.

Too bad we was rated the third to last worst QB in the league last year. It's all about popularity for certain positions. Hell, Matt Schuab can run the offense better than Vick

Per Jay Glaser of foxsports.com

John Abraham may finally have been traded to the team he was hoping, albeit not in the trade route that was expected.

FOXSports.com has learned that the Falcons, Broncos and Jets swung a three-way trade today in order to make the deal happen. The deal is also still be reviewed by the league office and all parties are waiting for approval.

If the trade is approved then the Falcons have traded their first-round pick, No. 15 overall, to Denver, who traded their first-rounder (No. 29) and two additional picks to Atlanta. Atlanta then sends the 29th pick of the draft to the Jets for Abraham. The Jets receive a draft pick two slots higher in the first round than the Seahawks were able to offer.

Abraham also told FOXSports.com several days ago that he had agreed to the financial parameters of a deal with the Falcons and insisted that was the primary team he wanted to play for.

Abraham also talked glowingly about the opportunity to play on a defense with the likes of fellow Pro Bowl DE Patrick Kerney as well as Pro Bowlers Keith Booking, DeAngelo Hall and Rod Coleman. He also balked at the idea of moving to the northwest to play in Seattle.

All three teams must get league approval before the trade becomes validated.

I'm dizzy...

Broncos | Update on draft picks traded
Tue, 21 Mar 2006 16:55:00 -0800

Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports the Atlanta Falcons acquired a third-round pick in the 2006 NFL Draft and a fourth-round pick in the 2007 NFL Draft from the Denver Broncos as part of the three-way trade that sent DE John Abraham to the Falcons and other draft picks to the Jets and Broncos.

Atlanta got ripped off bigtime.

You would think that the Jets would now want a DE to replace Abraham. I'm thinking Jerry should get on that phone, and sell Ellis and a 3 for that 29th pick. Either that, or get the Jets 35th pick in the second and for Ellis and a 2007 pick.

Either way, it's time to make some deals.

I'm on board with that...

18: Manny Lawson
29: Jason Allen
2nd Round: Jean-Gilles
3rd: WR Jennings

Or Ellis and our 18 for their 29 and second rounder. I'd keep my draft board the same, although we might end up with Wimbley or Carpenter. Starting to think Lawson won't last til the second, maybe not til pick 20.

Wow, guess we have to wait and see what those 2 additional picks are, because right now it looks pretty stupid for everyone but the Broncos.

The Jets just get pick 29 for Abraham? But the Broncos got pick 15 somehow.

I'd have to think that those two other picks are somewhere in the 2 and 3 range or 2 and 4 range.
That's just what I was thinking, Erik. I was wishing Dallas could have gotten in on that. It really does look pretty much like gravy for the Broncos IMO.
