With pick #28:

Thrilled: (no particular order)
TE Howard
TE Njoku
DE Garrett
DE Allen
DE Thomas
DE Charlton
DE Barnett
DE Harris
CB Lattimore
CB White
CB Conley
CB Humphrey
S Adams
S Hooker

Satisfied: (no particular order)
TE Engram
CB Tabor
CB Wilson
CB Jones
CB Jackson
S Williams
S Milifonwu
OT Bolles
OT Robinson
OT Ramczyk

Wouldn't be thrilled or satisfied with Harris, Jones, Engram, Tabor, Wilson or either of the Safties at 28.

That's still 17 guys without counting QB's or RB's tho which should be fairly rb outing.

Jones is one of the better playmaking CBs in the draft.

SOURCES TELL US
"I think he picked up all of (Marcus) Peters' good traits as a player without the personality defects. He marries that great FBI (football intelligence) with an explosive close-out and that will win in the pros just like it wins in college. You will always wish he was 198 pounds, but he won't be." -- NFC East regional scout
NFL COMPARISON
Marcus Peters
BOTTOM LINE
Jones is a "casino cornerback" who has the ball skills and instincts to tilt the odds in his favor when quarterbacks look his way. His toughness and desire to make plays on the ball is remarkably similar to his friend and off-season workout buddy, Marcus Peters. Jones has lockdown corner talent but will have to prove he can add muscle without sacrificing speed. His football character and play traits should make him a long-time starter with Pro Bowl potential.

Did you miss the news of Sidney Jones tearing his achilles last week?

I get the concern over the Achilles, and you're probably correct to cross him off your board.

But I never view the draft as the solution to the upcoming season; it's how you build a team for the next 4-5 years or more.
Everyone hates the injured guys, but the top talent falls to you at 28 either because of injury or character or measurables. We haven't done very well with the character issues, so I'm willing to keep gambling on the Sean Lee's of the world....Jones should probably be listed for round 2 or 3 rather than at 28.

Wise man. As fans we tend to want to force things in the draft to appease the status quo. It is most definitely a team building exercise for the future. You're buying stocks.

It's a lot harder being thrilled about any selection at 28 versus picking at 4 like they did the year before. The Cowboys would be thrilled if there was a player with a 1st round grade on their board at a position of need at 28. Most likely that would be a CB or TE.

I'll be thrilled as long as we don't take a stiff at 28 or do something stupid like trade our 1st and 2nd to move up 10 spots to take a Right Tackle.

My 'Satisfied' list would be, in order...
DE--TJ Watt
DE--Taco Charlton
CB--Marlon Humphrey
WR--Mike Williams
DL--Malik McDowell
TE--David Njoku
CB--Fabian Moreau
LB--Zach Cunningham
S--Jabrill Peppers
CB--Adoree' Jackson
CB--Tre White
After that, I need a trade down and an additional pick.

I'm leaving off stars like Garrett and Howard because, unless they run through the streets naked on bath salts and bite someone's face off, they probably ain't dropping to 28. I suppose if Barnett was still around in the teens, I could stomach trading up a little to get him.

My 'I Can Live With It...I Guess :(' list would add...
LB--Takkarist McKinley
LB--Haason Reddick
OT--Cam Robinson
OG--Dan Feeney
OT--Garrett Bolles

No to Tabor. Don't like his me first attitude
I'm not a fan of his attitude in the slightest, but if were there at 28, I'd probably draft him.

You don't typically get that kind of talent at 28.

And with the success of Honey Badger and Peters in the NFL, not every goofball is guaranteed to fail

Don't care about his attitude, it's the 4.7 40 he ran that eliminates him from my board.
