Thunder & Lighting

How about game plan the opponent, find their weaknesses and feature the players that will exploit them?

Regardless of the name of the player.

This Hatfield and McCoy dance that is playing out every week ignores this is a team.

I think there is possibly more whining going on after this win than all griping during the Quincy Hutch hatefest.

I assume you mean Zeke and Pollard.. They did have great success using Pollard on the jet sweeps yesterday.. His quickness coupled with the defense always flowing to whatever direction Zeke goes is a deadly combination. I think the rationale before was that the third receiver was more of a threat than Pollard.. Not sure I agree but I believe that was the thinking. If Pollard continues to average 9-10 yards per touch they may have to re-evaluate. I still don't think he can do that week in and week out but if he can we're in for a fun season.

I have no doubts we are better off using both backs in combo, I like it a lot. Like I said been done for years, hell,...Tank Younger and Deacon Dan Towler

John Riggins and Joe Washington
Mel Anthony and Carl Ward at Michigan
Kevin Mack and Ernest Byner, both having a 1000 yards in the same season
Franco Harris and Rocky Bliear both having a 1000yards in the same season

We have two stud backs why not have our best out there?

yeah one sounds scary and the other actually does damage lol

If Pollard "starts " he will have to do more than run for the flats/edge.

Will be rough going for him between tackles and picking up blocks.

He won't hold up like elliott between the tackled but the dude is sneaky strong he's no wimp. I think he'd be ok. That said I like Zeke as a starter over pollard Id just rather have Henry over both of them

In the year they went 14-0, Csonka and Morris each rushed for over 1000 yards and Kiick ran for over 500.

That's right, can't think of three backs that matched that.

Way back when the Niners had Joe "Jet" Perry. Hugh "King" McElhenny and John Henry Johnson who are all in the Hall of Fame, but....that was more them taking turns than being out their together.

I don't think Henry is getting the same production in this offense as he gets in Tennessee.. They have the good sense not to ask Henry to repeatedly take the ball standing still out of shotgun. If they did he would not be half as effective because Henry doesn't heat up that quickly. They line him up deep and let him attack the line of scrimmage downhill. I think the Cowboys could get A LOT more out of Zeke if they were to use him that way but that's clearly not the way they want to play offense anymore. Not his fault but it's frustrating to watch..

I think he would and I think he would have had the same if not more success. The dude is a freak of nature. Regardless we got Zeke and Ill root for him on sundays

Just remember that thunder is all noise and doesn’t actually do anything. Lightning does the real damage.

Zeke is going to get better each week, expect old Zeke around week 5ish.

Pollard ended up on his back at Tampa. And that was just a simple DB blitz on the outside. I truly believe if he were asked to do what zeke does, he;d never make it.

They could redesign the position and INVEST IN NEW O-LINE! (maybe? :D )

Having said that...the kid is a joy to watch. He's already fast off the handoff then seems to turn it up one more gear. Maybe he just looks lightening fast compared to zeke? :)

I have seen this before. #2 with obscene numbers. They don't make it two years at #1.

I just LOVE what I saw in the Chargers game. The two of them played great, they got some good blocking. Game plan looked great. A surprise CeeDee run.

Just don't get why we LOOK for stuff to complain about. This...is a beautiful thing.

(Oh but the money blah blah blah)
