It used to be the Thanksgiving game (that no other team wanted mind you) was an advantage. We’d get the equivalent of a half bye week late in the season.
I think typically they’d give us the previous Sunday at home too given the short turnaround.
Now that there is Thursday football all year, we seem to get screwed.
Many teams get their Thursday game over early in the year. We end up with getting 2. Worse yet it is always after the TG game.
So we wait all year. We get a miserable weather game in NE. Come home on a 2 day turnaround for TG.
Have a screwed up week. “Thursday is Sunday” schedule. And right back up to bad weather Chicago.
I think this year especially screwed us up.
