Reagor (out), (starting mlb questionable) Brackett, back-up safety Giordano(questionable), lb O’Neil (questionable), starting safety Sanders (out) and reciever Stokley(out) all missed practice according to the team’s injury report.

Fletcher and Hayden returned Thursday after missing Wednesday’s practice.

“We got some of our guys back,” Dungy said after Thursday’s practice at the indoor facility in the Colts’ training complex.

“That was good to see. All in all, it was pretty spirited work. I think we’ll be ready to go.”

Sanders, who missed last week’s victory over Buffalo after playing against New England the previous week, likely will not play Sunday, Dungy said.
“I’d say it’s doubtful he’ll play, but we’ll still leave door open a little bit,” Dungy said.

The colts will be without two starters on a defense that has not been good and still list both corners as questionable although they did practice today.

Marlon Jackson will be playing safety (third stringer) but I think losing their mlb will hurt them more because he does play the run well. Both of thier corners are banged up with knee injuries but they did practice today.

I see the play action working really well because of our ability to run. terry glenn should have a big day.

too many people on tv and radio are picking us to win. I got a bad feeling about it.

Dallas roster is as talented as anyone's in the NFL and people realize the Cowboys haven't been playing to their potential.... I could definitely see the Cowboys winning Sunday!

If Flo plays well against Freeney and the OL does a semi decent job I think Romo can eat up the Colts pass D. Brackett and Sanders being out is going to hurt them very badly both in the pass and run game. Romo could very well have a huge game this week but you never know with all the stupid chop blocks and holding penalties we get.

We can beat them, obviously... but will we is the question.

To me, the critical matchups are these:

*Flozell against Freeny. If Big Flo keeps Romo clean it will be a huge help. Really, both DE's will need to be blocked well... but Freeny is the dangerous one.

*Our running game against their run defense. If we control the clock and run the ball down their throats... that will be a big step towards giving Indy a loss.

*Harrison/Wayne against Newman/Henry/Williams/Watkins. No explenation needed. If we let them have a big day, we're in trouble.

*TE's. If we can get Witten/Fasano loose in their secondary and keep Dallas Clark from running wild on us... then we will definately be in good shape. I think the TE's will be crucial to the outcome of the game.

And finally:

* Pressure on Manning. If our pass rushers can get in Mannings face, it will go a long way to helping us win the game. If we give him time in the pocket... I'm afraid we'll be picked apart and it'll be a long day for out secondary.

Overall, it can be done but we'll need to be at the top of our game and not make stupid mistakes all game long. It will be a thing of beauty if we can play smart and be physical like we can be.

And that's my final point... Dallas is a much more physical ball club than Indy. We usually end up just beating down the opposing teams when we play them. We need to lay the wood all game long and by the fourth quarter we can have the finess colts ready to call it a day. I remember hearing last year where some anonymous player from some team we had played talked about how physical Dallas was. Parcells loves size and toughness and he has built his team to reflect those attributes. Dallas is big and tough and lives for contact. They can break the Colts down by the end of the game, just like we have some others this season.

Just like Carolina started laying down towards the end of the game, I can see Indy doing the same. Heck, the Panthers are a lot more physical than the Colts... and we still had them ready to quit.

We can do it... we just have to play Dallas Cowboy football. And if we do... I wouldn't want to be the Colts come Sunday.:clubbed:

great post...I too think we can beat the colts by being more physical but the key will be eliminating the mistakes. Actually thats what separates the colts from the cowboys. The colts play smart football and the cowboys have been doing dumb things that has cost them games. The boys have yet to be outplayed by anyone but yet have lost four game. Eliminate the mistakes and we win.

I agree this is a good post...

One other thing that some people might be missing is...this is a home game after 3 road games! The "greatest QB on earth" has never played in Texas Stadium...

Remember the "crown" on the field? "The Greatest QB on earth" will have to adjust for that...

It was reported by 'whutaboutbob', who seems like the biggest idiot on that board.

I hope the midget plays, but this is Dungy's quote from today:

“I’d say it’s doubtful he’ll play, but we’ll still leave door open a little bit,” Dungy said.

I don't trust a word any coach says during the week, but what makes you believe that he WILL play other than some a-hole on coltsfreak?

How? He registered on that forum in April of 2006. How large is his sample size? Fluke predictions are meaningless. Besides, I've never even heard of Bob Sanders until now, and I've watched quite a few Colts games.
