Tickets locked and loaded, tradition continues

Starting with the season opener of the final season at Texas stadium, the tradition of going to the home opener continues. I have read many of you post in here about the memories you have of going to games at the Cotton bowl ith your dad. Well for me, its a daughter.
We finally decided on the games for this year and we are doing home opener, Colts , and Rams. We try to do a new city each season. Last year it was Denver (what a game to go to....ugh), This year it is Indy.

Daughter has massive Marriott points, so hotels are free, Flights are free, so all we pay for is game tix and food and drinks.

Cant wait for another season!Just remember, none of you want to have this team win a SB any more than I do, but even if we do, it isnt changing my life. These games and memories.... yea, they are life events.

Try to get to St Elmo’s steakhouse in Indy. Absolutely make a reservation well in advance or you won’t get in. Other than the stadium itself, that was about the best part of that area.

Really, really nice stadium both inside and out.

It was down to Indy or Houston. I see Texas every year,so Indy was an easy choice.

I'm going to the Seattle game on Dec 7 with my son. Last time he and I went there was 2012, he was almost 9, he will be 23 when we go this time. We couldn't go in 2016 as he had his own hockey tournament, and then in 2020, the border was closed. Always good going to games with your children.

I might see you @ Seattle. I’ve been on a break from attending games for 5 years or so but I might end the hiatus and go to this one. It really intrigues me. I’ve been been to Seattle for a game.

I live in DFW and have been to games at TX stadium and now 3 at AT&T. To be honest I am more interested about going to Cowboy away games than stepping foot In AT&T again.

We do. She's the stud athlete son i never had. Played both college basketball and softball. Tied an ncaa record 4 hrs in one game. The day the schedule comes out, she's texting me. Best time of the year for both of us.

I started my kids early by bribing them with snacks during the games. They hit their teenage and adult years and now their presence on game day is not nearly as often. That said I know where their allegiance lies, and I always appreciate when they do watch the game with their old man. If it wasnt for them I may still be standing on the coffee table, ripping my shirt in half, yelling at the television.

We are in agreement, while the goal remains unchanged you absolutely must enjoy the journey. Too often as fans we forget, this is supposed to be fun.
