Ticks

My family has some land in East Texas that is full of fire ants. I remember seeing a calf that was full of fire ant bites after it was born. These insects are terrible and inhumane. I don't understand why we haven't found a method of eradicating them. It's been over 70 years. What's the hold up?

Nature is pretty tough.

That sentence made me laugh. I get your point, but of course fire ants are inhumane. They are ants.

I am dreading the eventual crossbreeding between fire ants and killer bees. You know it's coming. Killer fire ants flying around destroying the world.

One ant we better hope never finds it way to the US and that is the bullet ant. These suckers are over 1 inch long and the bite is compared to that of being shot thus the name bullet ant.
