David of Camberley, England, is worried about the Cowboys' draft, as are many people in Camberley. He feels there was a crying need for a young receiver to back up Glenn and Owens. Also a safety. Also a DT. Let's take the offseason as a whole. I think the key is if the Cowboys can get some quality play out of Davis and Marten, their two new tackles. I wasn't a Leonard Davis fan when he was in Arizona, but I just have a sneaking suspicion that he'll play well in Dallas. I wasn't nuts about the Cowboys' draft, either. What did I give it, a C? That's about right. But I kind of feel they can get by with their WR trio of Owens, Glenn and Crayton for another year. Then it's time to look.

If I were you I'd be more concerned about the organization in general. They're on their fifth coach since Jimmy Johnson, and it seems that Jerry Jones has gone back to another yes man, after his Parcells sojourn. The QB pick in the draft didn't make much sense to me, either, unless the guy's a real sleeper. Don't forget, they got hot with Romo. Let me ask you this. Do you know if Romo happens to be related to Leon "Red" Romo, the trainer at Columbia when I was there, who once said to me, "How the hell could you let yourself get so fat?"

Could this guy BE any less informed? The only sleeper in this article is the guy who wrote it. He should go back to sleep. Permanently.

this writer can't do a whole lot more to show how "uninformed" he is.

1. phillips left buffalo cause he wouldn't "yessir!!!" around there. but hey, it's a "free shot" people take all the time cause that's how they want to see things - truth be damned or extra thought - can't do it.
2. qb? at most emergency 3rd and he's a project wr. if you're gonna bag on someone at least get what you're bagging on right.
3. we'd been needing help w/the pass rush and the picks we've made OR the system never allowed that. so we'll draft another shot at LB to do this (sigh, i think we have an LB refugee camp, but that's ok, i'll get over it) and we change the system.

when people write on past rep it gets so very old and tedious to read through.

...don't forget about the fact that he still has L. Davis at the Tackle position.

I mean, really? Is it that hard to do A LITTLE research before you write garbage like this?

Priceless comment....still laughing.....

And some of the concerns by the original poster are not that far fetched...(1) Stanback is a project at best, and one that will likely not work out (aka Skyler Green).
(2) The areas not addressed in the draft have many fans concerned, so this is not new. NT and WR are two areas that will need to be addressed soon due to age. We are one injury away from significant drop off in talent.
(3) Continual turnover at the coaching helm is not a good thing. Stability and consistency are hallmarks of good teams.... So one might start questioning the ability of the Owner to hire a quality coach that can build a winning franchise.

1. Stanback is a great talent who could play multiple positons. Yes, he is a project, that is why he was a 4TH ROUND DRAFT PICK. It is not uncommon for playoff teams to draft "so called projects" on the 2nd day of the draft. I thought this was pretty much common knowlede, I guess not for Dr. Whatever.

2. Drafting a WR in the first round to ride the pine is just plan dumb, Dr. Whatever should know better. Glenn and TO have shown no signs of diminished skills and will probably be with the team at least another 2 seasons. Plus we have a lot of young prospects who could develope.

3. Coaching turnover is the norm in the NFL. Most teams have a new coach every 3-4 years, either from being fired or retiring. The days of 1 coach being with a team for 10+ years are over. Saying hiring Wade is a bad move just for the sake of making a change is dumb. If the argument is Wade is not a good fit for the team or if his style or demeanor is not a good fit, that is justifiable. However, saying change is bad for the sake of change itself is just dumb.

FINALLY, ONLY A ****** LIKE DR. WHATEVER WOULD GIVE A TEAM A GRADE OF C FOR TRADING A FREAKING 3RD ROUNDER FOR A TOP 3 PICK THE FOLLOWING YEAR.......JEEZ, DR. WHATEVER MUST HAVE RODE THE SHORT BUS TO SCHOOL:lmao:

I have to give credit to a couple of Redstink fans I know. Even they are smarter than this. What a bunch of garbage and just another reason for me to NEVER read that rag again. My boycott has been going for over 25 years now.
