I'm figuring the Cowboys are tied for the 5th pick right now.

CB
DT
OL

Nope. 7th pick.

...poop in your pudding cup, but I hope we move up the ladder a bit more the next few weeks.

Nothing against Garrett, but this team has some serious needs.

We could very easily beat the Skins and Cardinals and end up closer to 10 or 12. There are a lot of teams that stink this year. 13 teams with 5 or less wins.

Either Peterson or Prince would look good in a star.

Too bad this is an extremely subpar OT draft.

With this defense, we might beat the Skins and that is it.

Seriously, I think we end 5-11 and that should be good enough for a top 10 pick.

theres no way we lose to the cardinals. ill bet ya.

I say we put in Mcgee and and see what he has. The worst that can happen is if we win both games... I wouldn't mind staying in the top 5 to grab Peterson & if he is gone I am trading out of there and stockpiling some 2nds and 3rds.

There will be plenty of good football players after the top 5.

Cowboys will get a CB, DL, or OL with first selection.

You don't have to be in the top picks to have a really good draft and find players who make you much better.

whoever the cardinals QB is will shred this defense. We can only hope for turnovers.

I did some research a couple weeks ago when we were 3-8 on drafting positions based on record and created a thread with the results (see http://cowboyszone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=200277 for details).

Executive summary for our purposes:
  • teams that finish with 4 wins draft on average in the 4th position
  • teams that finish with 5 wins draft on average in the 7th position
  • teams that finish with 6 wins draft on average in the 10th position
  • and teams that finish with 7 wins draft on average in the 12.5th position.

yeah, because if Philly's #1 ranked offense averaging 28 points a game can do it, then surely the Arizona Cardinals can do it.

Cam Newton come on down. He is your next Wow player.

No more chasing "Wow" players. It's time to start drafting some big uglies on both sides of the ball.

We need interior offensive line in the worst way, but I can see our defense getting leaps better with any of the top 3 CB picks.

I think he's kidding. But I agree with you. We have enough skill players. We need hogs and beasts on the offensive and defensive lines.

I agree but Jerry is in charge.

trade down for Brandon Harris. That kid is UNREAL.

Pick up an extra 2nd. Select Rahim Moore. Secondary is set for the next deacde.
