I agree. You left out changing of his swing. Dealing with the injury and going through a swing change Tiger said it was hard to get in the needed work to refine the changes he was making. It looks as if it is all starting to come together. As for his personal life I agree, he made a big mistake he has paid dearly for the mistake and as Irvin said in the HOF speech, you get up, you dust yourself off and you never quit
Yes, I did left out his swing change with a new swing coach, one more element to deal with while going through other issues, which is remarkable, good catch Dooms.

He can't be working on being a better husband, since his wife threw out his sorry .

Still, I don't really care what he does with his pants off, although it was cool seeing his BS image blown to smithereens.

Boyfriend/future husband. Your obvious hostility towards him prevents you from seeing what I mean.

So Tigers father was bad, Michael Jackson father was bad , Serena and Venus Williams father was bad also....

I WOULD TAKE ALL THREE OF THOSE FATHERS INSTEAD OF THE ONE I SEEN 5-6 TIMES IN MY LIFE GROWING UP IN CAMDEN, NJ....

DO YALL GET MY POINT...NAW U DONT...EXIT STAGE LEFT

I agree. I don't blame the parents for the action of their adult kids. Tiger messed up no question about it. He has paid the price public and private so how long does he have to continue to pay the price?

What took place really was between a husband and wife no one else. In the end she walked away with 750 million, he sees his kids and has been active in their life and he is moving forward with his own.

I don't think anyone can question his performance on the golf course.

He is simply a cut above all of the rest, .. current and former players included.

And like I said earlier, I enjoy watching excellence in sports. I appreciate what he does on the golf course.

But that still does not change what he did to his wife, their marriage, his kids, .. their life with both Mom and Dad involved every day has changed forever.

He chose a dozen skanks over his lovely bride and their off-spring together.

I have absolutely 'zero' respect for any man that makes that choice. Men like him make me sick.

But that was Tiger's choice. I wonder if he ever regrets it?

I have a friend, a fellow Cowboys fan actually, who lost his wife, kids, house, almost all of his savings, etc, for the same issue. Only with one woman.

I think he regrets it, even though he is still with the other woman. He and his wife had been together over 15 yrs, been through a lot together. And then he did this.

I told him what I said above, .. "you will always be my friend, but I have no respect for what you did."

Anyways, Tiger is impressive to watch, but I don't cheer for him to succeed any longer, ... like I used to.

Well kemosabe, the real question is, will some people ever be big enough to admit that Tiger has become a better person, if that day comes?

That's not the real question, but it is a good question.

Here's hoping that he does, albeit too late for Elin and the kids.

I guess it is for those that aren't still living in the mess he created.

For them, it's not.

It was more like 500 "mistakes" and anyway, is getting some on the side a mistake?

His image was always fraudulent.

I bet he is only dating Vonn to get a shot at Julia Mancuso

500 woman or 1 does not make it less wrong. As for his image does not sound as if you ever like him to begin with so what ever image you have is moot.

I take it you think the same way of Irvin or does hanging out at toppless bar, picking up women and doing drugs equate the same in your book?

These guys made mistakes they can't go back and change it they can only deal with it then move on with their lives. Irvin has done that as has Tiger.

As for wanting Vonn to get a shot at shot at Mancuso, that would be untrue Vonn had been dating Kris Humphries but wanted to be with Tiger. However who people date really is not my business or concern.

Irvin never pretended to be perfect like Eldrick. He was never pimped as being perfect like Eldrick was pimped.

Irvin always kept it real. Eldrick doesn't know what "real" is.

Tiger never claimed he was perfect the media portrayed him as such. He has always shown himself as a very aggressive competitor in the world of golf. Yes he made mistakes people do and those in the spot light pay the bigger price. As for Irvin that is such a cop out I like the Cowboys so Irvin deal was alright. You are a joke

Now you are just making up crap to fit your agenda. Show something factual to support your claim of Tiger pretending to be perfect.

I know. Tiger has never spoken on social issue at all, when reporters have tried to get his view he chooses not to answer. When it comes to golf he does.

Tiger has never claimed himself as the perfect person now if you ask him is he the best golfer in the world? He will tell you without hesitation yes he is the best and he feels he will take down all records in the game of golf. He is confidence and he is brash when it comes to his profession and has backed it up time after time

Exactly.

And like you stated, he does shy away from social issue and political issues.

Tiger should feel like best player in the world because he sure played like one for a very long time. Any athlete who it best at their respective sport should be confident and display bit of brashness to let his competitors know that he know he is the best.

One thing I didn't see in this thread is how much he donate his time and money to good causes and charities. So he does does lot of good for society, but some people couldn't wait to see him fall so that they could point finger at him and laugh, something they couldn't do while he was winning, many of those people simply hated to see non-white person dominate a white man's game.

Magic Johnson, K. Bryant, M. Jordan, C. Barkely, W. Chamberlain and host of great athletes made mistakes, just like rest of us but they were able to recover and done better... Its been over two years, some folks just need to let it go and protect their own glass house.

I agree

Great article from ESPN on his swing change: http://espn.go.com/golf/story/_/id/...ts-golf-swing-third-time-career-espn-magazine

It's from January, but still a great read.
