Golf is funny in that there are a lot of definitions of "world's greatest golfer" and more than one answer can be right at any time.

Lee Westwood may be playing as well as anyone in the world right now. Does that make him the "worlds greatest golfer"? Well, maybe, I guess.

But until someone can prove that Tiger Woods is finished, he has to be considered the WGG simply because he has shown the ability to play at a higher level than anyone else in golf could achieve.

BTW, being 9 under through 15 on Monday in the Ryder Cup showed that he still has the ability to flat dominate again. It's all about finding that comfortable head space again. He's lost that, and whether or not he can regain it is an interesting soap opera for sure.

Hard to tell what sort of "Tiger" we get next season...

Traditionally there's a drop off after 35, and this guy has pushed his body like no other golfer. He's had two knee surgeries, one of which was major, so it's probably not a question on if he's going to get arthritis– but when. On top of that he's had back issues and neck issues.

No doubt with a clear mind and if his body can hold up he's a threat every single week... But is his mind always going to be clear and his body up to the task? Probably not like it was 10 years ago.

Tiger still has some winning left in him, but he probably has some of those atrocious days also like what we saw this year.

Needless to say, I'm pretty impressed with the "kids" that are playing now. Seems like a pretty talented group who may be more of a threat to Tiger's chase of Jack, than Tiger's mind-set and physical shape.

I think we will see the old Tiger Woods next year. Watching him in the singles matches at the Ryder Cup he was pulling off big shots that people have come to expect from Tiger that he was failing to do during the season.

I think he is getting comfortable with the new golf swing he has been working on and will pay off for him in the end. As far as age, Tiger workout regiment I think will allow him to play at a higher level than Pros of the past where they did very little in terms of conditioning.

It's not like Tiger didn't have some decent rounds of golf this year... Because certainly there were several that led one to believe that the guy was back to being his dominate self... But then he'd post a "pedestrian" round. Until he shows some consistency there will be questions.

It's hard to judge how his physical conditioning will translate to his game after the age of 35. You make a good point that you would expect that he could be more competitive than the average 35 pro golfer due to his conditioning level. But there have been suggestions that maybe he's worked his body too hard and it is breaking down.

I think it's important to keep in mind that it probably doesn't take much of a drop-off to see a "Great" athlete become just a "Good" athlete in their particular sport. A little knee pain here or a back twinge there or having one's focus diminish a wee bit is all it takes.

In addition I don't think the younger golfers "quake" in Tiger's presence like the guys he's played against over the last 10 years. The intimidation factor doesn't seem to be there... A factor that won Tiger a few tournaments in the past.

I do I saw allot of tournaments were despite meltdowns over the last 3 holes guys were able to hold on to wins. I think Tiger comes out like gang buster next year and I think he captures at least 1 major. I have seen some of these younger guy not come close to pulling off the shot that I know Tiger is capable of and even in some of the majors Tiger had 2 top 4 finishes and was not even close to his level of play. Give Tiger this off season to fine tune his new swing before writing him off.

I'm neither writing him off nor am I suggesting that he will be "Golfer Of The Year".

I think it's a very murky subject that has no clear answer.

I think what Tiger went through this past year would have a negative affect on any player on the tour add to that a change in his swing I think Tiger has alot of left. I don't think being 35 is going to be a factor hell Kenny Perry, Steve Stricker and Jim Furyk this years FedEx Cup winner is in their 40's still playing at very high levels.

I think there are alot of good young players out there one guy I have really high expectation for is Rory McIlroy but I have yet to see any of them with the same killer instinct of Tiger to be in a position where they need the knock out shot to finish someone off and pull it off.
