Tony RomoQB337 yr$119,500,000$17,071,429$40,000,000 2020 A backup QB beat Romo last night, enough said:

DeMarcus WareDE317 yr$78,000,000$11,142,857$25,591,176 2016 At end of his career, yet there it is, 11 million a year.I love demarcus ware, even media writers have said that the cowboys are going to probably get ware to restructure his contract for next year, due to his injuries and age.

Miles AustinWR297 yr$54,100,000$7,728,571$17,078,000 2017 How many catches did Austin have last night? How many games has Austin missed last 3 years?

Brandon CarrCB275 yr$50,100,000$10,020,000$25,500,000 2018 10 Million a year, yet, we keep hearing that Carr has to be humbled, after games,

Sean LeeILB, LB276 yr$42,000,000$7,000,000$16,130,000 2020-I love Sean Lee, don't misunderstand me, but every year he has been injured, is 7 million a year, is that worth the amount Jerry Jones paid him? To me, Jerry should have waited till end of year, then work out a deal somewhere around 5 million a year. Jerry Jones is responsible for all of these contracts,

Morris ClaiborneCB234 yr$16,264,502$4,066,126$16,264,502 2016 Last 2 years, this player has been out of shape, doesn't work hard, keep getting injured, doesn't study enough on his own, always got some excuse for his lack of play, not being able to play, yet the Cowboys traded up for this player. When is he and these other players as well as Jerry Jones going to be held accountable?

Plus we owe Jay Ratliff about 5 million this year on the books & best I remember 6 million next year. Again Jerry Jones did this, overpaid Jay Ratliff.

When is the madness going to stop from management, Jerry & Stephen Jones, and the players held accountable.

its hard to find a silver lining in any of those contracts at moment. We definitely over-paid for Carr but Dallas needed viable CB badly and Jerry had to make that move. The Romo contract was albatross moment it was complete but Jerry had very few options. If your seeing a trend here your eyes don't deceive you. Jerry keeps taking on these bad contracts because he has no alternatives due to poor drafts, poor player development and gross incompetence in management of salary cap. Only fixes are serious shake-up of front office, new hc, new qb...new attitude.

A well run front office not only finds players via the draft, FA, and random pickups. But maybe just as important you hope they know first when one of their guys either has lost a step or is done before the rest of league does. I look at really good run franchises and they mostly make the right decisions. For instance, the ravens will probably miss out on the playoffs (looking at their last three games) but they are restocking on the fly. Next year after after the draft and FA, I think they will be right back up with the rest of the top AFC teams. The lets go of some guys who were paid a lot in FA, lets some core veterans go and added some smart, cost effective FA signings. They knew Ed Reed (a great, great safety) was running on fumes. Knowing the Ravens one of the top receivers will fall right to them and they will be right back in the mix next year. Ozzie really knows how to build a team.

I look at other teams who don't get attached to older players and are able to replace these players via the draft or FA. Dallas has always had trouble doing this and therefore always overpay on the second and third contracts. It is really bad NFL business.

At the end of the day, unless ticket sales don't start declining nothing will change.

That list is drastically better than a similar list from the season that Garrett took over for Wade. They have actually made significant progress in this area since that time.
