 Guys, till we get a free safety that can cover, and a strong safety that can cover, forget it guys. True, we need another dominant pass rusher, but we have watched Keith Davis for 2 years now missing plays, and Roy Williams (dont get me wrong-I love him) but he needs to add on about 12 pounds of muscle, and move him to weakside linebacker, letting him blitz most of the time.

Its either that, or our coaches like defenisive line coaches cant teach Chris Canty & Marcus Spears how to get down, block, and pass rush. Even the great charles Haley told Ware that he had to learn some more moves besides the quick outside move, (And has he learned any other moves NO!!!!!!!!!

Then, you add in for the past 4-5 years that we have played the Saints, they have kicked our butt, and we have layed a egg, either the players arent motivated or they just dont give a nickel. Its the same old flat emotion I saw, the defense did play the first 2 series good, but the offense stunk up the field.

This just ticks me off, some players need to get their butt kicked now by coaches and Jerry Jones, as well as the fans.

At least Roy Williams will make some plays. I dont remember a play that Keith Davis has made since he became our starter. I do remember several times, Keith Davis taking horrid angles and knocking our guys off the pursuit.

We need a FS and we need a new defensive scheme (aka GROZ) otherwise all trhe talent we have on defense wont mean squat.

Say what you guys want, but I would love to have one of Buddy Ryans kids. That guy in Oakland is working with garbage and has a competetive defensive unit. No one can deny that Baltimore has a good defense. I think we have the personel to switch to their schemes.

If we stick with the 3-4, we need to change our philosophy or something. Our 3-4 is pathetic compared to the Steelers, NE, and probably the best one right now is the Chargers.

I am sorry, but I could not take anything positive out of last night. Sure, we played horribly, but worst of all, our team looked like they gave up when the Saints popped them in the mouth. Last night was a pathetic display and someone needs to pay. That someone is Zimmer IMO, and we need to relegate Davis to special teams only.

Every team has holes somewhere on their team.

The Saints have a lot more holes than we do. They just showed up and played the better game last night. End of story.

We'll be fine and we'll see those guys again in about 5 weeks in New Orleans.

By the time we were behind roy looked like he was not going for the coverage as much as he was trying to get an INT he was in bas position a couple time cause it looked like he wanted to catch the ball instead of make the tackle and he chose angles poorly.

You can get Rod woodson in his prime, but if this defense doesn't put pressure on the QB, nothing is going to change.

It is bulls**t to blame the Ellis injury for the lack of pressure. Ellis wasn't that good. The Steelers, for example, lost JOey Porter, but that didn't stop them.

Absolutely terrible performance by Davis and R. Williams. Both looked lost the ENTIRE game. As many zeros as Davis has put up, I'm seriously wondering why he is playing at all. Williams has never been known for coverage, but Davis HAS to be able to cover if he is gonna play FS. That is his SOLE responsibility, especially in zone.
The Saints had our number for sure offensively. I'm baffled nonetheless as to why we let Brees play small ball and kill us repeatedly with screens and dink and dunk passes instead of forcing him to go deep or nothing at all. I even picked out no less than four screens while Ware repeatedly over ran the play. Don't get me wrong, Ware played better than 90% of the Defense, but it was just one of those nights. It looked like there were no adjustments made during the half. Poor job from the coaches, but a particularly pathetic perfromance from our Defense. They really caved in with this game. Hopefully this will light a fire under the D ends and some changes will come with our coverages....especially zone.

I hope so man...

Finding a FS for the defense would be like Romo coming in for the offense.

Hi DB, where shall I begin well this was the worst I ever seen them play I expected the Saints, to score points but not a 42-17 blowout this was a bad coached game we bust out the gate with a 77-yd td run by JJ, that was it the Saints took over from that point on.

The Saints on defense came to Texas Stadium with a plan not to let the Cowboys WRs and TEs run wild through their secondary and it worked that is why I'm shocked that the Cowboys didn't run the ball more because they were having great success running the ball and everyone is now all of the sudden is scared of the Saints, I'm not and wouldn't mind playing them again and you can bet that they will bring that same defense they brought last night in the playoffs and that is when I'll crush them with the run then pass on them.

On defense it was terrible play all-around they blitzed at the wrong time and paid for it bad tackling and bad coverage and most of all bad coaching.

I'll say this again Mike Zimmer, is no fan of mine I never liked his style of coaching defense this guy needs to go so we can get a real 3-4 DC, in here.

There's a good reason no one listens to you. The idea is absurd.
