Tim Tebow Released

Tebow is a man of strong faith .. I have zero doubt that he will be just fine after this .. He's likely making a couple million a year working for SEC Network and ESPN .. Any thoughts of feeling sorry for him should probably be spent elsewhere. Besides.. have yall seen his wife? The dude is blessed in every sense of the word. I'm glad he got his shot but it was doomed from the start. He really should have sat on the bench in Denver for 2-3 years before even getting on the field while he worked on his mechanics. Kyle Orton stinking up the joint was the worst thing that ever could have happened to him. It forced him into action at least two year before he was ready but he was so inspirational he helped his team raise its level of play and stumbled into the playoffs. Again, worst thing that could have happened because he needed work as a passer and sitting behind Manning for a couple of years would have been just what the doctor ordered. But the Tebowmaniacs were never going to let that happened ( at least not quietly) and Elway knew it so he dealt him to an even worse situation.. Playing for Rex Ryan.. His career was pretty much toast from that point on. Every other stop has been places where the deck was already decidedly stacked against him.. He joined New England like 3 weeks into training camp and got cut. Then he "sorta" got a look with the Eagles and frankly IMHO outplayed some of the guys they kept over him but yet again.. the media and fan circus that followed him around made him not worth the headache. None of that is his fault. I'm glad Meyer threw him a bone.. but if ever there was a guy who was going to be fine regardless.. It's Tim Tebow.

I don’t get it. Who displayed any hatred of the guy? Maybe I missed it.

If I state the obvious... that a 34-year-old who has never played TE and who hasn’t played NFL football in NINE years... deserved to be cut and was only filling a camp spot because his college coach did him a favor...

Is that me “hating Tebow no matter what he does”?
Tebow fans make it up in their minds. I neither know the guy nor hate him.

They tried to get him to do that. He refused w/ his famous "I'm a QB." assertion.
Well, he had been a QB his whole life....so it's not like we can blame him.
People were wanting Lamar Jackson (and many others) to give up QBing too. Jackson made the right choice, obviously.

Ideally, for Tebow, he would've given up that dream a lot earlier......but leading his team to a playoff win probably ended up hurting him in that regard. Gave him false hope.

The wife
:omg:
Miss Universe (from South Africa) and smart too. whoa

Yeah if he really did save himself for marriage she was worth the wait!!!

I just looked. I don't know what to say. Goddess?

Yeah he'll be fine. I think he grew up in a wealthy family anyway. I think sports is more of a hobby to him.

There's sure been a lot of traffic on this site from people talking about how they don't care about a 4th string TE from another team. Can some of them fill me on how the 3rd string guard competition is shaping up for the Bengals?

The 3rd string guard from the Bengals is a better TE than Tebow
