I've seen a few mocks have him as our choice at 28.

No doubt he has real pass rush skills but he seems like a tweener to me. A few write-ups suggest he's the 2nd best pure pass rusher in the draft behind Garrett.

Probably a better fit as a 3-4 OLB than a 4-3 DE. He could play OLB for us but we don't blitz a ton so would he be best served in a Marinelli system?

There's no such thing as a 3-4 olb only. Gregory was like 230 pounds and we started him week1. It's a new NFL. 3-4/4-3 it doesn't matter

I haven't seen much of his game tape other than a couple of games, but I don't think he's a tweener. His size is comparable to Randy Gregory and Dallas saw Gregory as a 4-3 DE. The more I read about Williams the bigger of a fan of Williams I am. To me he has the best "burst and bend" of guys that could be available at 28. I like him a bit more than Taco and Barnett.


Edit: Yikes, I just read up on his off field problems. Yeah, I'd pass now...just cant go through this all over again.

I'm not a fan of these skinny DE's.


It's hard for me to judge exactly what Gregory is on his limited amount of snaps but my gosh does he look weak trying to get around the edge.

Then you watch a beast like Demarcus Ware and it's just the same as Gregory except with the strength to not get pushed upfield.


No more 1 dimensional speed rush guys for me. At least be 265 lbs.

exactly. Do not want him even if he is the second coming of Charles Haley because what I have read he has failed many drug tests already.
