As has been said, we will be playing a hybrid defense and Nolan and McCarthy said they will take talent first, fit them later. So Chaisson is definitely a guy they might have interest in if they want an edge rusher in Rd 1.

Always appreciate your efforts, especially with the videos.

17 seems too high for Weaver. Weaver reminds me of Lawrence, not because of the Boise State connection, but because he's a solid rusher but he's not an elite bender. He's all power and effort. If we take an Edge at 17, I want a quick twitch, explosive, speed rusher with bend (elite body control and athletic ability).

The Purdue TE doesn't do it for me either, but that's more of a my own thing with him. He's slotted to go right around where you have him.

I'm not a fan of the UNC DT at all.

Don't hate the 2 DB's you have us taking but feels about a round high for each of them. Again, this is just my take; could very well be wrong.

Have no issue gambling on size in the 7th round with the Toledo tackle.

Weaver has played in more games,better stats,just because LSU won the Championship doesn't mean Chaisson is the next Superstar. He had a lot of help around him.

There’s more pressing issues at DT and CB. Whichever one isnt addressed in FA is probably the pick at 17

If we dont sign Quinn then RDE is a bigger problem than both

Also one more thing to think about Weaver vs Chaisson. Chaisson played in the heat in Louisiana, Weaver played in the freezing cold in Idaho. We are in the NFC East with those turds from the Northeast NYC.Philly,DC.. We need guys who are use to playing and performing in the cold.

Curtis Weaver has 13 1/2 sacks this season,that is not a 3rd round pick.

He has 13 sacks vs below sub par talent. He doesn't have the bend for the next level and isn't going to be able bull rush over anyone. Most of what I've read scouting reports, expect him to test so badly he'll be lucky to go in the 3rd!

He's this years Jaylen Fergusson!

always around the ball...made alot of plays behind the line for Boise St.

another DE I really like and would love to see wearing the ☆...Yetur Gross-Matos,Penn St.

Syracuse has two in this draft that intrigue me after Rd1...Alton Robinson and Kendall Coleman.

I like Northwestern's Joe Gaziano.

Stowbridge might be a real find...I didnt watch NC but he apparently is having a good week so far in individual and team drills.
Big Nate Newton loves him...was one of the first guys he talked about.
he is playin' at DE but they could move him around...but I like his size.

I think Yetur Gross-Matos will be gone and it comes down to Weaver vs Espenasa IMO. We like Boise State players and Lawrence probably would do everything to help Weaver become a starter opposite him ,putting him under his wing.

Reason-Most likely we lose Byron Jones and Anthony Brown & Jourdan Lewis battle for Jones's starting spot,but we need a possible another challenger.

Brown is also a FA, but coming off of IR, maybe he signs like a 2 year deal.
So we could lose both Jones and Brown. I can see them bringing in a few FA's. At S & CB. And still draft one each also.
Heath is also a FA, so good riddance, but what id they being him back fro2 years also. Yikes.

With only 6 picks not sure every position gets covered,no OLB for this draft we need to sign a FA OLB.


1-Curtis Weaver DE Boise State


Reason-Robert Quinn is a free agent and truthfully he is a mercenary,. He plays where the money is and no team loyalty. Can't trust Randy Gregory.I don't think Dorance Armstrong is a starter in the NFL,and Joe Jackson is somewhat stiff...Weaver could be the RDE by 2020s midseason to end.


2-Brycen Hopkins TE Purdue


Reason-The more I see of this guy he looks like he really could be a special player . Not hyped like other TEs but this guy looks like the real deal. We need to put Jason Witten out in the pasture and cannot trust Blake Jarwin will step up to be the TE we need.



3-Jason Strowbridge DT North Carolina


Reason-Kept looking for a good DT after the top tier and it is slim pickings. Most DTs were in the 2019 Draft. Strowbridge plays DE ,but he is 6'-5",285 lbs. Add10-15 lbs and he is a DT. With the speed we need to cause chaos in the trenches to penetrate in the middle.


4-Douglas Coleman S Texas Tech


Reason-We need a ballhawk.Xavier Woods is a solid player,but doesn't offer much of being a ballhawk. Coleman is a surprise this season. He has 8 INTs and is a perfect centerfielder to help get us the ball.


5-Meiko Dotson CB Florida Atlantic



Reason-Most likely we lose Byron Jones and Anthony Brown & Jourdan Lewis battle for Jones's starting spot,but we need a possible another challenger. Dotson led the FBS with 9 INTs and is not well known and he could slip into the later rounds of the draft. If he is there,GET HIM!!!. One year at Florida Atlantic he got 9 INTs.Dotson was at Garden City Community College the year before and only played 8 games but got 4 INTs before transferring to Florida Atlantic. 13 INTs in less than 2 seasons? Give him a chance.

I'm a huge fan of Weaver's elite production over the last 2 years, just need to see him test well to show the athleticism to match for a 1st round pick. As of now he's DE3 for me.

If so, this is a solid mock!
