1- Jermaine Johnson(6-5,262) DE Florida State

2-Neil Farrell(6-4,323) DT LSU

3-Darrian Beavers(6-4,255) OLB Cincinnati

4-Jelani Woods(6-7,270) TE Virginia

4-Percy Butler(6-1,198) S Louisiana

5th- Liam Dobson (6-3,330)OG Texas State

6th- Savon Scarver(5-11,175)WR Utah State

My reasoning for these picks.

Cowboys we most likely lose in free agency or CAP.
We as a team usually get hit hard by other teams for our players. I do not want to get in a bidding war and kill our CAP. If free agents we do receive compensation in the next years draft

Free Agents

Randy Gregory
Dalton Schultz
Michael Gallup
Noah Brown
Cedrick Wilson
Leighton Vander Esch
Keanu Neal
Malik Hooker
Brent Urban
Carlos Watkins
Dorance Armstrong
Ty Nyseke
Francis Bernard
Luke Gifford
Maurice Canady
Damontae Kazee
Jayron Kearse
Malik Turner
Cooper Rush

possible retirement or cap
DeMarcus Lawrence
Tyron Smith
CJ Goodwin

Tidbits on my draft picks

1- Jermaine Johnson has 10 1/2 sacks so far this season. Picking him can make it less stressful if Randy Gregory leaves in free agency.

2- Neil Farrell- He is below the radar and we picking near the bottom of each round. We get him here and we find the player to line up next to Odigizuwa

3-Darrian Beavers- other Cincy Bearcats get more attention but Beavers is solid. I believe LVE will be gone after this season.

4- Jelani Woods- his weight has been up to 290 lbs before and he still can play with it. He can be a mismatch nightmare. If Schultz leaves, can we trust Blake Jarwin?

4- Percy Butler- this guy is a player and a special teams demon. Several Safeties are on the free agency market for us.

5- Liam Dobson - went 3rd overall in last year's CFL Draft but wants to play in the NFL. He is one of my favorites. He plays nasty with a mean streak. We need bruiser like this.
Connor Williams is history and getting a solid backup is needed.

6- Savin Scarver- Not much as a WR,but as a returner this guy is amazing. Has atleast 4 to 5 TDs for touchdown on return maybe even more. I do believe he has the NCAA record for returns for TDs. Not a SLOT WR priority but could give Pollard & Lamb not to be at risk on returns

So you don’t think we’ll be able to sign any of Gregory, Schultz, Kazee, Kearse, Neal, Urban, etc, etc?

No we can,but most of our key free agents are young. They will be a hot commodity. I don't want us to end up in cap problems cutting good players over the cap in a pricing war to keep them.

We need to resign Gregory, Schultz, Kearse and possibly Kazee. If not we’re a 9 win team trying to draft that all in one year. Also, if anything we need to add to OT not take away from it. Cut Dlaw. Far easier to replace him vs Tyron.

Free Agents

Randy Gregory- teams will be after him. We might lose him. Scumbag teams like the Eagles. Will be in a price war for him.

Dalton Schultz-The Washington Team could target him to get him off our roster.

Michael Gallup- Most likely gone to some scrub who need help at WR. Lions,Falcons,Jets

Noah Brown- Likely to sign with us again

Cedrick Wilson-Other teams could use a tall target like the Niners,Bears, etc.

Leighton Vander Esch. -Several teams would like a talented player like him. I see him as gone.

Keanu Neal - Sign with us

Malik Hooker - would love to have him back but most likely gone

Brent Urban - journeyman

Carlos Watkins- Boys can let him leave with the Boys depth.

Dorance Armstrong- Test the waters some scrub team sign him.

Ty Nyseke- Age 36

Francis Bernard- Teams might want him. Has potential

Luke Gifford- special teams, other teams might want to steal him.

Maurice Canady- leave for money

Damontae Kazee- Boys sign

Jayron Kearse- Probably will sign with the Cowboys again

Malik Turner- 50-50 comes back

Cooper Rush- Want him back, but some team might give him a good contract with a weak QB draft class.

Conner Williams- Don't even offer him a contract

Good call on Jermaine Johnson.

A lot of good names here.

Good work Timb.

Don't like your version of next years O Line.
7 draft picks, cannot hit on every position. I rather Lael Collins become the new LT and Terrence Steele be the RT. I think McGovern can be the LG. Josh Ball can still surprise.
